Not much to report this week apart from felt very run down for 3 days this week and tired so had a couple of days of exercising. Feel better today after some echineaca tablets to try and fight it off whatever it is.

Weigh in day today which is STS - good result as wanted to maintain. Lost 1.2 inch off thigh measurements and allover everywhere else has stayed the same too.

After work today will be the usual dog walk, Rin30 day 3 then reheat leftovers for tea and flop down for a rest!

Forgot to add in all of the excitement that I weighed today and have lost another 1lb:j 15 down, 5 to go!

On the negative side I still haven't dyed my hair but did do the eyebrow tidying last night. Will leave it until the weekend now as I'm not going anywhere.

PP- I know it's hard if you aren't feeling confident about it, but I'd go to the studio -then even if it doesn't work out at least you can say you gave it your best shot. Good luck with it. Sorry your still not well -same here can't seem to get rid of the blocked up head.

DS3 wants to be an electrician.
He got some good GCSE's so hopefully he can find something.

  • Well, I haven't got a lot done. I have just been feeling really low on energy, a bit emotional (getting upset over silly little things) and a bit rubbish really! I think it's just the low calories getting to me. I feel like I really want to just stuff my face but I just weighed myself again and I'm another lb lighter so I'm going to remain strong as I don't want to sabotage my progress seeing as I do seem to be losing weight. I think maybe I haven't had enough water today so that probably doesn't help. I just have to keep reminding myself of the benefits and that it's not too long before my low cal dinner and tomorrow I can eat whatever I like!

I had a bit of a lay down and am now drinking a cup of coffee to try to wake myself up a bit. At least my mouth isn't swollen from the dentist anymore! :)

Lizzie - sorry to hear about your son's disappointment with the training scheme. Must be a blow for him.

WW - well done on the further weight loss and great news about your classes's exam restults. You sound like a great teacher.

PP I agree - just pop along to the studio, give it your best shot - you've got nothing to lose.

EH - a walk along Cardiff barrage sounds wonderful.

I've not been blackberrying yet but I think they are ready. Will try and go this weekend. Talk OH a jar of my homemade blackcurrant jam today.

    I'm feeling a tad scared.

I have had what I thought was an itchy spot on the back of my neck for a few days. It has been bothering me because it didn't seem to be healing. Managed to examine it this afternoon - it's a mole gone rogue.........The last time I had one it was a relatively harmless Basal Cell Carcinoma - unfortunately this one looks suspiciously like a Melanoma.

I have of course made an appt to see me GP - can't see him till 6th Sept. I could see the Triage Nurse but as dermatology and skin disease is his speciality I may as well wait to see him. He was quick off the mark last time and I trust him. Still nervous though.:o

Ladies - watch that sun and check those moles regularly.

My old scar tissue from the Carcinoma is itching too - perhaps that's just psychosamatic - I will of course mention this too though.

    Mum seems ok.

I am desperately tired today, house a bit of a tip - going to rest tonight and clean up tomorrow.
  • LL Sorry to hear about your health scare. :( But well done on making the appointment. It must be really worrying for you, especially with your history.
I always try to be careful in the sun, I always wear sun cream. I'm quite fair skinned and would burn easily otherwise. I've always been quite careful anyway but I think I started taking a lot more care after a lady at a bus stop told me about her experience with skin cancer and that made me think about it a bit more. We all need a little reminding sometimes.
It's a shame you have a bit of a wait for your appointment but I agree you might aswell wait and see the specialist rather than someone who won't really be able to give you an answer anyway. I hope it turns out to be harmless. I hope you are ok. Hugs xx

Lots of news on here today.

I'm sorry to hear about your son's course lizzie. When you listen to politicians talking you'd imagine that any youngster who wants can just walk into an apprenticeship:trouble is they're lumping all sorts of things under the term 'apprenticeship' now and IMO devaluing the traditional craft skills like electricians. His decent GCSEs shoud elp im though. Fingers crossed.

:Tfor your brilliantly improved science resutls ww. The students must have worked so hard (and their teachers of course;)). I was thinking, why don't you treat yourself to a professional hair colour? You seem to loathe doing it so much. It could be a treat to yourself before term begins.

:Tto everyone persisting with the calorie control. You all seem very focused (except pod who's being sabotaged by the cakes!!). I was given a special badge at SW today for maintaing my weight for a year. I can't see that I'm going to wear it but it's a good feeling all the same. Since then I've been out to lunch at a friend's. We had barbecue with salads but lots of oil in dressings and then I had a meringuey roulade she'd made. Not to worry as I [STRIKE]am[/STRIKE] was half a pound below the bottom end of my target.

That seems like a long wait for an appointment LL. As you know I had a similar problem last year and saw just any doctor who could refer me on to dermatology at the hospital. I don't suppose the triage nurse can do referrals?? Maybe worth a try. If she thinks it's a problem maybe she can fast track an appointment for you.

Well done on persevering with the dental work mrg. Now you're back into it you can go for regular checks and keep on top of things. Hopefully you're feeling better now.

Have good holidays mooloo and bitsy.

Maybe you've got a summer cold coming sparkles? Do get plenty of rest. Hopefully everyone's got a long weekend to look forward to although forecast isn't brilliant here. Typical Bank Holiday!!

eh, unless you want to spend a bit more I'd definitely recommend the Aldi stuff again. Boots Protect and Perfect (?) serum is good too but costs quite a lot more and I'm not sure it's that much better. I know the Aldi stuff won an award last year in comparative tests.

LL, did you mention that it was a mole causing problems? I agree, it maybe worth trying to get a referral to the specialist - you might see them only days after your GP appointment is due.
