Hope you have a fab holiday Mooloo (with your BF! Ssshhh, don't tell anyone!)
Been swimming, walked the dog twice and finally finished the schoolwork project:j
Even went picking blackberries and now am the proud owner of an icecream tub full, happily nestled in the freezer ready for a yummy crumble when I've got to my target weight.
Still got the hair dye to do - always leave it until there's no option:o
Quiet here today - you're all off doing fab things I hope?0 -
Evening All,
Nothing exciting here cooking tea, then i think a walk across the barrage to blow away the cobwebs and then food shopping what fun!

Just a quickie.
Mum had another fall - luckily I was there so took over and called the paramedics. They let her remain at home provided that Dad calls out the GP tomorrow - surgery closes Wednesday afternoons:eek:.
I could see firsthand that he cannot deal with these situations so I tried to call Mum's care manager. Spoke to her deputy who has promised to convey my concerns and arrange a home visit.
I hadn't realised that Mum's care manager hadn't done a home visit since Mum left hospital. Everytime I tried to raise the issue with my Dad I either got yelled at or he said she had visited.
I will be charitable and put it down to his confusion rather than a deliberate attempt to lie to me or deceive me.
Anyway I've done all I can today. The paramedics were aware of my concerns and have left a note for the GP. I just hope Dad doesn't conveniently lose said note.
Mooloo - have a lovely holiday.
Having spent most of the day trying to sort out Mum and Dad I'm now knackered - time to make dinner and then have a rest and early night.
A manicure tonight.
EH - sorry to be thick - What is a barrage.0 -
LL hope your mum is ok.
Cardiff bay barrage it splits the sea and fresh water area. Nice place to walk

Sorry to hear about your mum LL good that you were there though.
ww I was a 'victim' of blackberry picking on Tuesday. Ended up volunteering to make blackberry pie as a school holiday activity and ate some! Was delicious but doesn't really fit my healthy eating. Generally I have my berries with Total 0% yogurt. Yum!!
Thanks for shoe ideas will check them out. I haven't got a city break planned but I'm hopeful for some time this winter and comfortable shoes are a must.
Have a great holiday mooloo (:lipsrseal about the BF). Hopefully there'll be other children/activities for DGD to give you some downtime.

LL I hope your mum is ok.
Yesterday went ok, rabbit had his teeth trimmed at vets no problems and my partners car passed it's MOT.
I had my last dentist appointment this morning! Woo-hoo! I have a numb mouth at the moment but I am so relieved it's all done!
Another low cal day for me but can't eat with a swollen mouth anyway so it should make it easier for me!
Today I'm going to attempt to have a good tidy up of my flat and maybe get rid of some of the weeds sprouting up in the garden. I also need to sort my hair out later as my roots are showing again.
I hope everyone has a good day.January 2016:

My pedometer's clipped on my bra:rotfl: cos it keeps dropping off when it's clipped to my waist.
Have agood hol Bitsy, you too Mooloo
PP hope your Mum is ok and she gets sorted soon.
LL hope your mum's ok too -thank goodness you were there
Must be areal worry for you both.
Where are all these blackberries? There doesn't seem to be any round here yet:(. Was looking forward to picking em with DD2 and then helping her make the crumble.
Currently waiting for DS3 to return from collecting his results. Unfortunately he received some bad news regarding his training (due to start Oct). Apparently the government has pulled the funding so no training programme!! They are going to try and help him find an apprenticeship but failing that I really don't know what he will do. He has explored other things but was thinking if all else failed he'd at least have the training to fall back on. Fingers crossed it works out.Frump to Fab - Solstice Sizzler

I'm going to go blackberry hunting at weekend, good excuse to go for a nice walk, hope weather is nice!
I make a good crumble!
Put a mud mask on last night not done for years, my skin feels so soft but lots of little pimples and whiteheads must be all the yuck having been drawn out. So plan to drink lots of water to help flush my skin out.
Need to get some new facecream and serum as run out, any recommendations, I was using the Aldi serum, got through it pretty quickly though! Friend's given me some Avon samples so see how I get on with them.

Hi all,
Bitsy and Mooloo - hope you both have great hols
Allie - congrats on the new niece x
LL - hope your mum is ok, hopefully will lead to them getting a home visit from the manager but I guess is debatable.
Lizzie - how annoying for DS, hope he manages to find something else - what it is it he's wanting to go into? (apologies if you've said before)
Been a bit up and down, haven't got back to the studio yet but know I need to by weekend really if I want to go in for the test session - am still umming and ahhing a bitWas emailing another guy about some work that involves providing feedback for photography students by email - which would be more up my street - but he hasn't come back to me since yesterday so not sure if that will be going ahead. Did get a bit of good news - the last wedding I did I hadn't heard anything back from her in weeks and was rather paranoid that she'd hated the photos - she emailed me the other day saying she hadn't been so well but she loved them and the newsletter article is definately going ahead
Think it's going to be out in September so she said she'll try and extract the article from the main part so she can send me a copy (apparently the rest mainly contains fraud information that I probably shouldn't be seeing :rotfl:)
Not done any exercise, still feeling a bit under the weather, have been trying to stick to the eating plan but OH is not helping by coming home every single day this week with reduced cakes from the supermarket - he's one of those people who if it's cheap he has to buy it, whether he needs it or not! Have said to him am not having any so good luck with getting through them all before they go off :rotfl:0 -
Hello all!
Just back from a morning at school with the students getting their results. Always a rollercoaster of emotions....
I'm super-pleased with my science department's results - we got well above where we'd predicted and almost doubled the results of similar schools in the UK :j:j:j We're only a secondary modern type school and have a large SEN cohort but still managed to get 80% A*-C grades. Unbelieveable! And before everyone says the exams are easier, this is on the new style harder GCSE introduced this year and believe me it is much harder (nuclear physics anyone?....)
So I'm thrilled and going to celebrate by taking the dog for a nice long walk and then maybe having a nice glass of wine tonight. And no school work today!
Got some nice comments about weightloss and the tan too - so all in all a good day!0
