LL I picked soup because that was what my body wanted, my thoughts being that if I don't listen to that I will graze all afternoon. However I do think you're right and that maybe protein has to be involved. Taking the kids out for a picnic today so will pack some cooked chickens and some boiled eggs for me and see how I get on. I like the idea of trial and error, a question of seeing how I can tweak it to suit me better.
Beautiful morning here, enjoyed a lovely walk with the lazy hound from hell :rotfl:
LL I am sorry surgery looks like only option for your OHxxx

Very quiet on here today.
After another tense day at work, came home very tired and hungry and took the dog out for a walk once the torrential rain eased off, had tea, talked myself into doing Shred once tea had gone down.
Just finished Day 9/10 - and it went really well. Just in time as only have one more day to Shred!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Sorry about your OH LL, don't think you need to try harder at all I think you're doing really well considering what you must have on your mind.
I have probably had 3 fast days this week since I've not felt v. hungry for last 2 days due to the cold. I have eaten just not nearly as much as normal. Just want the liquids as I've got a sore throat. I probably look dreadfull too because I couldn't sleep last night. Have taken pain killers and feel a bit better - I don't get colds very often but when I do they make me feel v. rough. Did walk the dog earlier so am still exercising (a bit). DD2 is the proud owner of 2 rats so fingers crossed she keeps her side of the bargain about looking after them properly. I can't touch them atm due to my cold. H is already saying they smell, if they do I can't tell so blocked up can' t smell a thing.:rotfl:
I'm a bit annoyed with the rail pass issuers as we were supposed to be going out and about this hols and it's been like getting blood out of a stone. They've sent them today but one is missing! Really fed up as this is probably the last summer hols when DS3 will be off with us. Am hoping they manage to sort it before next week so we can at least get a couple of days out in before the hols are over.
We have been told about a free farm nearby so are at least planning an afternoon there over the weekend if the weather holds up. We have mananged local days out so thats something I suppose.Frump to Fab - Solstice Sizzler

Morning folks. Not much fabbing going on with me over the past few days, although I have continued with my face cleanse and moisturise routine.
Going to head out for a walk this morning and have a shower when I come back (No doubt I will be sweaty as it is very warm here today). I have booked in for a Hot Stone massage this afternoon which I am really looking forward to.
Todays fabbing plans:
1. Cleanse, moisturise
2. Walk - aiming to do daily.
3. Hot Stone treatment
4. Yoga session this evening - aiming to do daily.0 -
Good morning all
Mini fast day today.
Not visiting OH today so a quick whizz round Sainsbury's in a minute, then hopefully a garage sort out today - maybe a trip to the tip later if I have time. Oh the excitement of it all:rotfl:
Hope you are feeling a little better today Lizzie.
Not much news this end, still a bit up and down with my emotions but I think I'm just tired. OH seemed a little better yesterday so that helps me too of course.
Have a good day everyone. X0 -
Good morning ladies
Broke fast yesterday with protein.....no drop in blood sugar later :T did have a muzzy head despite drinking plenty BUT not sure if it's been the humidity and change in weather pressure. Anyway will see how today progresses.
Not much other fabbing going on other than making sure I am going to bed at a reasonable time.
Lizzie hope your cold goes ASAP xxx
LL glad to hear H seems a little better xx
Allie do let us know how hot stone treatment goes. Can you believe I've never had a spa day or even a massage in my life
Hugs all round for those that need them xxxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Morning all,
Just a quick one as am full of a cold at the moment(am sending you sympathy Lizzie) so feeling distinctly unfab
Diet bit up and down because of it - am not as hungry, which is good, but can't be bothered cooking so when I do want something am grabbing whatever's quick and easy, not to mention am going through the throat sweets - which I realised yesterday are actually calorie-wise just as bad as real sweetsAh well, shall muddle through and try and take it easy the next few days - have a meeting with a couple on Saturday regarding doing their wedding next year, which would be a full paid one, so fingers crossed on that. We also had the deaf choir in on Tuesday which was really good - great to watch them - so looking forward to the Paralympics ceremony now. Hoping my voice will be back by then :rotfl:
Hope everyone is doing well with the fastings and exercise. LL -glad to hear OH seemed a little better, maybe the medication is finally kicking in?0 -

Good news there Bitsy. Glad to see you've found a way that works for you. I struggled with the humidity yesterday too - so yes that could be the reason for the muzzy head. Thankfully it's a lot fresher here today.
I would love to try a hot stone massage. When I'm achey I have to make do with a lavender wheat pack - ok but not the same.;)0 -
