  • Haven't been here much lately. Trying to catch up with everyone's news. Still battling with Mum and Dad. The House Manager reported to the social worker that Dad's aggressive with Mum at times, and the social worker is going to speak to Dad's GP. There is a mental health worker going in but she and the GP have not been much help to date. My parents are still determined to move out of Abbeyfields but the social worker is a bit concerned about them doing this because of Dad's behaviour. I feel the social worker is only taking notice of this now though because it came from the house manager and not from me. Not sleeping too well as worrying. However had my hair done today and bought a new top and a lipstick to try to cheer myself up. Going to Cardiff for the weekend so at least will have a break. Hope everyone has a good weekend.
  • Hi all,

Verynewmoneysaver hope you enjoy Cardiff, i came to uni here & never left :)

Had chat on Tues night with bloke mate, i was completely honest with him, its just a situation got to deal with and left both of us feeling rubbish for different reasons :(. So been up & down emotionally, then today to top it off had a migraine like headache £ sick so came home early from work.

Meant to be going camping this weekend with mates, so looking forward to getting away from it all, chill, walking and drinking! Here's hoping it stays sunny & dry :)

    Eh xx

Have had a better day today. Took it easy. DS actually took DGD to school for me, so I had a leisurely start to the day. I walked to the leisure centre for my massage today. With the hour there it meant I was able to also walk back. One day I will walk both ways without being stuck!
I had to drive to town to collect twin1 and drop off DS. Picked up my Avon order, a new bikini and maxi dress, ready for my holiday next month. A birthday treat to myself. Hang the expense!.
This afternoon I was able to have a sleep, which is always a bonus as I get so tired.
This evening the BF is coming over to see me. maybe I better go and FAB myself a bit.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

Rubbish day here and I'm debating whether to open the wine, the bickies or do a workout to burn off the stress.......I was really looking forward to the summer hols and the kids breaking up today..then I went to pick up my youngest (only 4) and they have written a horrid report :( He can be a handful, granted, he is full of life and sometimes headstrong...but they have written that he can be quite mean and spiteful. I'm so upset, he's been an angel at home recently and because they gave me the report right at the end of the day I didn't open it till I got home so I couldn't even talk to anyone about it.....I know I have never seen him intentionally or willingly mean or spiteful, I can't believe teachers can write that about little ones....

Can't really stop but wanted to offer a hug to rachel xxxx

Personally I would be speaking to teacher when they return enquiring why if you child is behaving like this they've not brought it to your attention sooner so you can deal with it at home. If its any consolation friend had similar issue where comment was made in report about child not sharing and friend was quite rightly annoyed that an issue worth mentioning in a report hadn't been mentioned at parents eve or in its own right. She ended up having a meeting with head teacher and discovered it was a single event.
One of school mums told me that much of the report is copied and pasted from comments over the year so could this have been a single instance like my friend? Am not a teacher so no idea if this is actually true mind......

Rachel - I'm a secondary school teacher and we have a comment bank of things to put in reports - its all done on the computer and maybe your son's is done the same way? If so, it may just be one small thing that has stuck in the teacher's mind? If I have to put something negative I always try to put something positive in too.
Talk to them - if you email the school it may get passed on during the holidays, mine does this so you might get a reply sooner than you think. If not, at least its there for when they get back.

Been to the comedy thing tonight and again had a really good time. Went on my own with the Spice group and only knew the organiser but because everyone is in the same boat you soon get chatting. Comedians were very funny and the night whizzed by. I really would recommend Spice to anyone that wants to get out more and meet people and do things you wouldn't do alone, its completely changed my social life.

Had a mini drama on the way home - walked back to the multistorey to discover it all locked up and my car stuck inside - there was the tiniest sign saying it closed at 10pm and a notice with a number to call in an emergency. After having a minor panic I phoned the number and the nicest man in the world came and opened it up and got me out ok. Will send them an email tomorrow to say thanks and to praise the customer service, he saved my bacon as I'd left my house keys in the car and live alone and was a lone female in the middle of the city at night.

Meeting 2 work friends at a gym tomorrow morning - to be honest I'm not totally looking forward to it as they are both very fit and I don't want to look like a slug in comparison.:o Saying that though, I wore a silk halterneck top tonight I haven't worn in ages (maybe 2 years) and when I went to the loo I looked at myself and realised I looked quite good:T My arms have toned up and I had a flat stomach - then had a curry so it won't be flat tomorrow:rotfl:

Anyway, off to bed now ready for the dreaded gym session tomorrow......

Just a quickie to report the weigh in - 1 more lb lost:j
    That's 9lbs altogether now.
5 more to go to my stone:)

The scales did waver between 1 and 2 lbs lost but I've decided to go for 1 and count any other possible loss as a head start for next week.
