Everhopeful hope chat goes well with friend and sorry to hear you're stuck in the middle :(

Mooloo hugs for you, glad changing the clothes made you feel better :)
Lizzie hope your DS sees sense. Work may be boring, let's face it it's a lucky man who has a job he loves every day, but big bad world is a harsh reality that you cannot always pick and choose

Got the munchies today, eating for England so consequently having a very bad !!!!!! day :o see I may appear sanguine about H's situation but today was a bad day, glimmer of hope he had now thoroughly squashed and he will be out on his rear end of the month. Well actually Tuesday since he has annual leave booked for the rest of the month. Just feel angry and low at seeing him despondent and can't make it better. Anyway tomorrow is another day.
Embarrassed to say the only fabbing will be the glass of wine I am about to consume whilst cooking dinner LOL

Well, I'm back from a soggy Blackpool and managed to survive the day (just!). Last day at work for almost 7 weeks tomorrow and its a half day:j
I tried really hard to not go bonkers with food there and had a cereal bar for breakfast as usual and a jacket potato, beans and cheese for lunch - but I did have one and a half of those fresh donuts they make at the fairground - yummy but very bad:o

Hewie - loving the list - may pinch some of your ideas! I'm starting The Help today, book 1 of the 10 on the summer list finished last night so moving on to book 2 now. Will let you know what I think.

Lizzie - hope the situation with your son resolves itself and OH doesn't explode too much.

Mooloo - glad you're feeling a bit better now - you are another one with plenty on your plate at the moment.

EH - an awkward situation - hope the "talk" goes well. Think of it as a compliment, you're obviously gorgeous already!

And enjoy the wine Bitsy - a little indulgence will do the spirit good;)

I too feel really fed up today for some reason. Aiming to feel better tomorrow and hope the achy legs fo overnight so I get up and do another early morning Shred session before work.

Diet went a bit to pieces today however it will be back on track tomorrow as I resolutely plan to stick to the meal plan and exercise plan.

Thought it was better to have a day off exercise today and rest my legs although they feel stiffer than ever this evening and I can't work out why. Must have been the hilly bike ride on Sunday that set them off and made last night's Shred harder work than usual.

I am going to be 51 on Sunday.

I can Handle it! I will handle it. I am handling it. or so the book suggests!.

I just love your can do attitude mooloo:A and an early Happy Birthday for Saturday.

Your list is admirable Hewie, and well done for putting your wakefulness to good effect.

Hope the talk with your man friend went well EH. As others have said, it is flattering but adds a complication you didn't need.

Lizzie, I can understand you being angry with DS, I'd feel the same. I don't know what he does for money but I think I'd be very mean with him as he's passed up the chance of earning his own. I think you said a family friend had arranged this for him which makes it a bit embarassing too. Hopefully he'll find something else to suit him.

DH and I have had a lovely day out today. It's been the first dry, warm, sunny day for weeks so we grabbed the opportunity. We went to Oxford and did our own walking tour of the city, looking at all the colleges and other lovely buildings and gardens as we went. We'll go again as we didn't really go inside any buildings today so as not to miss the weather so we can go back another day to do some museums, colleges etc.

I have tried to tell him this but it was only a stopgap job. He has actually got a training course for what he really wants to do starting in the autumn. Hopefully he'll take to that and things will be ok. I know from the older kids this is a difficult time.

He doesn't actually need that much money as he just tends to hang out with his mates who in general are all going on to some form of course /education unpaid and so are all in the same boat. He is currently looking into an evening job to go with his course but as this would mean him working from 9.00am to 4pm, then travelling over town to the evening job for 5pm til 10pm, I think it would be too much. He needs perhaps 3 evenings a week or a weekend otherwise he won't have time for the homework from his course.

I have been called in for an interview with jobcentre. My first reaction is to have a rant when I get there as I'm not sitting at home t**ssing it off. I am actually trying to help myself. I have been told I won't be forced into anything as the partner of someone on ESA and not a claimant myself, that they will try and help me if they can. Unfortunately from what I've been hearing their help isn't very usefull so we'll see.
2nd time doing the couch to 5k today, then off shopping so will smarten up from the usual dog walking attire.

Lizzie - Tell him there's office work and there's office work.

When I first started working in an office I felt that I had been sent to to prison. I cannot tell you how much I loathed it. Several office jobs later I still hated it with a passion - legal secretary, insurance clerk, accounts, I tried them all.

Then I tried my first Estate Agents and a lightbulb switched on. I was dealing with people, not just bits of paper and columns of figures - real people with real issues. The human element made the difference and of course getting out and about, meeting clients, doing viewings etc.

Speaking of viewings I went to the physiotherapist this morning then came home and worked like a demon getting the house reading for the estate agents. The house is scrubbed, polished and gleaming. Now time for me..........

    Wish me luck.

I got up and did Shred day 9 today before work. Went very well and only one more day to go now before the next level. Never been this far before but looking forward to it!

Bit rubbish at work atm - not a happy place at all. Looking forward to the weekend.

Just going to take the dog out for an hour then do some more exercise. Not sure what yet - bike ride or Burn Fat Banish Metabolism
