Bitsy - it's bad because I keep wanting to show it to everyone but am not sure if I'm supposed to until it's finalised :)

On a similar subject, have finally made myself make a blog for my writing - apparently my publishers strongly recommend you should have one. Not sure if I'm allowed to post a link to it or not on here? Don't want to be getting the thread in trouble so if anyone would like to follow my ramblings on the writing world then feel free to pm me and will send you the link direct :)

    Hello everyone

well done on getting your house sorted LL and good luck for when it goes up for sale.

A mixed bag for me - have been doing fairly well with the food and have been going to the gym (not as much as previously but working harder when I'm there) and have really started to notice I'm getting toned up which is good.

I have been really slack on the beauty regime this week and have not managed to tick off any of the facial fabbing, feet or nails etc and only just managed to cut my nails after not being able to look at them a moment longer so I must get back into that!

I've still been making a bit of an effort with clothes etc and am starting to get a healthy glow from the sunbed so am generally feeling fairly good but a bit of extra effort is required this week.

Have a fab week everyone :D
    Got married October 2012 :j
    Hoping to conceive 2013 :D
  • I'm feeling a bit better now thanks. It just seems to come and go out of nowhere.
Had a walk in the lovely sunshine with dogs and then ventured under DD2's bed . It doesn't smell too special in there as it is due to her rats , unfortunately her Dad was right and no matter how much they're cleaned out they smell. They are cute and entertaining to watch though and DD2 just doesn't seem to notice the smell, although she is at that age where she has some disgusting habits and despite being told on numerous occasions I found dirty tissues, dirty clothes and make up under her bed. Teenagers.
PP would love to look at your blog -have pm you.

Bitsy don't worry. Re start when you feel up to it. It's hard when you've other things going on isn't it?

Had a lovely soak before tea and will do my nails later.
    enjoy your evening:)

  • Just a quickie - not a bad day at work, busy but went quickly. Had 3 naughty jammy dodgers though - am annoyed with myself as I ate them before thinking. I've counted them in my cal allowance and done an extra 30 mins very brisk dog walking to counteract the biscuit sins.
  • WOW LL you are doing so much atm! I hope things with your parents get better.

Well done Maman, enjoy that feeling, you've earnt it!

I know how you feel Pod, I feel like eating everything in sight atm! I was only thwarted yesterday by forgetting that Tesco are back to post Olympic 10-4 hours and i rocked up 3.59 hoping for some last hour cake whoopsies :rotfl:

My weight loss efforts are working, my work pants are falling off me and look like giant baggy clown pants :rotfl:

Today's "why do I bother?" came 20 mins before we finshed. the competiton decided she needed the loo then came back, closed down all the programmes on her computer, sat there making it look like she was "working" until she saw me clock on that all she had up was her home screen then announced "so, i think i might go and wash my cup! does anyone else's cup need washing??". obv came back, sat down and announced "hometime!" saw her and the boss having a right mothers meeting on the corner near the car park too. Its like the "popular" girls at high school all over again!
  • Just a quickie from me too after eating 10 chunks of dairy milk then doing Level 4 Ripped in 30 - pleased with how that went! I did it! 4 more days to go and its done

  • Lizzie, I've got a pair of girl rats and they don't start to smell at all until about day 6, and they get cleaned out once a week. The type of bedding will make a difference, obviously they can't have pine shavings like hamsters as it causes major lung issues in rats. Biocatlet, a cat litter type thing from Sainsburys, or cardboard squares used in horse bedding (eg ecopetbed found here http://www.shop.earthlyenterprises.co.uk in giant bales which last me about 9 months or smaller packs which are more expensive) are both good.
I leave the smallest window of the 3 that open in their (upstairs) room ajar a little bit so the air circulates. However boy rats smell more than females, although they are friendlier -girls don't really like being handled much. My friend has a pair of male mice, and when I've sat for them on holiday, and they absolutely stink!

Sorry for hijacking the thread a bit, but I figure your house will be more fab if it doesn't smell like rat pee, right?!

Well you could rise above it, which would be the adult thing to do, but as soon as she logs off early again I would be tempted to send her an email that she should reply to immediately that needs to be copied to the boss, who will notice that she doesn't reply til the next day.

i wish I could but cz i sit literally right next to her, everything i do like that will just meet a "so why didn't you just ask her?!" i figure the easiest thing to do is to just laugh at her doing all of this. in the end, she's just letting herself down with all of this and making me look even better to the people who's work i'm doing because she's shirking it.
