Halifax dont update thei payment untill between 3am and 5am, so that might be why your not seeing it! No one else has had troubles with their beefits unless the are going into a natwest account, I bank with halifax also and money doesnt show at midnight for me. :)

My account updated at around 1045pm and my DD's due today were taken out, that is how I know it has updated already, which it always does. I always have my money late Sunday night ever since HBOS went over onto LLoyds computer systems last year. Before that it was between 3 and 5 am.

My wages due in friday from a Natwest account to my Barclays acccount still aren't there, the system usually udates just after midnight. It's now overdrawn as it's let a DD out, however it returned 2 DD's on friday, so I'm wondering if the money's sat waiting to clear if that makes sense?

Can anyone help me out here?

I bank with Halifax, I was expecting my benefit payment today (25/6), my account with Halifax has updated and my DD's have gone out but my benefits haven't gone in. As far as I know Halifax is not affected by this problem but I was wondering if my DWP payment came from somewhere that is affected by these problems, if that makes sense?

My money has never not hit my account before and this is worrying me, obviously I can't ring anyone until the morning but if anyone can help me I would appreciate it.
    Thanks very much

I bank with Natwesr and was due to be paid my ESA yesterday always shows up in my current account on a Saturday, still not showing, My DD have been updated and transaction that i made in the week have been updated... think im gonna have DHSS tomorrow, thats gonna be fun waiting to get through and being held in a queue for hrs
  • My pension from DWP usually shows up on RBS online banking two days before its due date (today, Monday). It's not there.

This suggests that anyone banking with RBS/Natwest/Ulster expecting a DWP payment (pension, child tax credit, working tax credit, JSA, disability allowances(?)) is going to be out of luck.

Any idea how many millions of people that is?

Online banking at RBS is still working and I have managed to empty my account (just in case they are never going to be able to sort this out).

... and bring in new people who don't know the systems to do the next upgrade?

They will have more people trained than those responsible for this surely and it doesn't sound like the people who done this upgrade know what they are doing either!

I got my tax credits into my Natwest account on saturday, though my Dad didn't get his pension credits on saturday, he's RBS.

I only get a few pounds, maybe smaller transactions are going through? Unlikely, I know, but I'm puzzled with it all tbh.

In BBC Radio 4's Moneybox on Saturday morning one point raised was the fact that customers had to ring 0845 numbers, perhaps at great expense, to sort out their problems. I note that the FAQs now say that if the website does not provide an answer to a question...

"If you have an urgent enquiry, please call us on:
    0161 931 9959 or 08457 77 77 66 or 0800 656 9639.
    Overseas +44 (0) 8705 888 444"

  • Anyone else getting the distinct impression the media is very much being controlled by the government on this issue (BBC especially)?

Also, why are the government so quiet on the issue? We should at least be hearing DC in all the media saying something along the lines of "Now is not the time for x,y,z, we must let them get everything back online and in order and then we'll see what changes need to be made" But no, nothing, even when its happened to the bank the government should have the most control and responsibility over.

Yes. I would like to see more coverage of exactly what has happened, whether all their backups contain incorrect data, whether they are having to do manual checks on each BACS payment last week, whether all branches have the same problems, whether, in fact, this is a cover-up for something much more serious.

I was supposed to be paid on the 20th and the money has left my employers Nat West account but has failed to show up in my First Direct account. I hope this gets sorted soon.
