Is this Yodel delivery a new thing for Tesco? I always thought Tesco delivered their own goods to customers and their stores? I've only ever heard negative feedback about Yodel before now so quite surprised that Tesco use them.
ETA: Chipmunk do you mind me asking what time your order for the scalextric was placed? It would be interesting to see if CS's theory of earlier orders being honoured but later ones cancelled actually does add up.If at first you don't succeed ........Alternative autism therapies should be free!!

Tesco have always used Yodel to deliver some of their Direct orders. Yodel actual deliver the orders to stores for Click and Collect.
chipmunk007 - If I was you I would go and collect them very quickly before they realise they are there and cancel your order. It has happened in the past.If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550 -

You should have gone for the pinocchio toys as well....TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -
I placed 4 orders between 8.00pm and the last one was 8.44pm. Or should i say that is when i got the confirmation email. So probably 5 mins before that. All mine have been cancelled.
All placed before it was posted on here, and probably before most.0 -

Yes, cos lying on an internet forum to a load of people I will never know, and will never know me, about kids toys I got cheap from tesco makes me feel really big!
Believe me if you want, call me a liar if you like, why would I be bothered.
But to help anyone, if your order was processed and then "sent to fulfilment" then you stand a fair chance.
And to answer the above question about payment, Tesco T+C's state that the contract only starts when they email you with a dispatch notification. So if you have not had a dispatch email, then you cannot hold them to the deal.0 -
This has been a bit of a roller coaster ride for me as in I got a voice message saying my order had been cancelled & that I have been e-mailed about it so I thought , here we go , but have they cancelled the WHOLE order or just SOME of the items???
Then I FORGOT on the same night I ordered the Toy Story blow up chair and THAT is what was cancelled! lol
SO my order is STILL showing as created , not holding out much hope but STILL can't help hoping I get SOME of the items for my Grandchildren ... When you are on a really tight budget and can't afford to treat the children or stock up on some Christmas presents so its not a financial drain come December and the toys you ordered aren't just ADORABLE but SO SUITED to your Granchild ( ie he needs special needs toys so the light up screwdriver & piano play mat would have been PERFECT for him & I always imagine his face lighting up when he sees and plays with the toys )....
ANYWAY it IS a disappointment and ok not a HUGE one but still a BIG one for me when I can firstly only BUY CERTAIN toys which are suitable for my DGS AND when you've not got much money a bargain is a REAL GODSEND! ........IF you get it!! lolx
(Maybe its MY face which lights up when the toys arrive!! lol Not holding out much hope for these as I was pretty much the LAST person to order late that night when I saw it on here BUT surely if they had allocated SOME of the items ON ORDERING and they still WERE in stock when I ordered them and possibly a genuine reduction then I still might / could get a FEW items at least??? )0 -
Yes well I hadn't received a dispatch notification, obvs but it still says for each item. 'a refund for £x has been processed and will be with you in 3-5 days'. Now bearing mind none of my items got past the created stage I feel that is bad practise!
Even if it doesn't actually show they have taken payment on my bank acc, they know they are not fulfilling the order therefore can 'unblock' the earmarked money on my acc! But of course they won't for3-5 days!No more unnecessary toiletries Feb 2014 INS: 24 UU: 13. Mar 2014. INS: lost count, naughty step for me! UU: 80 -

Chipmunk, you are a new member. Just joined to comment on this thread.
You start with a first post, that reads like a sermon. Chapter and verse as if you work for Tesco.
A post that most long timers on here would never post in such a way. Then wonder why someone doubts you. Believe me, you first need to get thicker skin and not take it to personally to survive on here.0
