End of Conran Card
Comments
-
Strange, I applied for a card a few weeks ago and received the PIN numbers earlier this week. The cards have not arrived yet. Today I had a phone call from MBNA (security check and to tell me that I'd been approved etc.) so I queried the cash back aspect and was told that it was still in existence. They didn't have any information about it ceasing.
The guy also suggested that I could borrow up to the credit limit free for a year by transferring money into my bank account and it would count as a free balance transfer. Any thoughts on this, I could buy my cash ISA for this year with it !!Sent from my abacus.0 -
Sorry pjaj, I can't help you, but I have a question too
Do you get paper statements with the Conran? My statement was online 5 days ago, but I haven't received a copy through the post.

......so I queried the cash back aspect and was told that it was still in existence ....
It is - for people with Statement dates up to 31st March - then it ceases. Separately confirmed by both MBNA and Conran writing to most current subscribers. You will no longer find the Conran card among the card choices on the MBNA site.littlemissmoney wrote:Do you get paper statements with the Conran?
Yes ... but they take up to 2 weeks to appear following the online creation. If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -

I haven't got the card yet, let alone a statement ! In any case I'll almost certainly cancel the card as soon as it arrives as it has now got no advantage over my 2 existing cards.Sent from my abacus.0 -
The cashback will be credited to the April statement, so make sure you wait till youve had it (and spent at least that amount that between March and April statements) before you cancel.illegitimi non carborundum0
