Just spoken to MBNA about a Paypal query and asked for clarification when cashback would end. CS confirmed that last date for cashback is date of March statement (20th in my case). Any transactions after that date will not earn cashback. cashback earned up to 20th March will appear as credit on 20th April statement.

Got the letter, switched to Egg...the only thing is that it's all on the internet, no paper statements. And the inital credit limit I got with them was just less than 3K...however I spoke to CS (got through straight away!!! good start) and they said when I receive my card I can then apply for an increase....so I'll have to wait and see

How about we find a free "goody" from mbna and ask them for it, otherwise we're leaving?

Which means you don't exceed the cap until you spend over £20k on the Egg card?

Nothing obviously better for spends circa £10k .. unless you want to play the introductory rates :-
