Yes it does. You could even read your meter on the high side to pay more off if you wanted. Some people have done this when gas prices were rising... to get longer at the cheaper price but although energy companies might not like it, I don't think it is wrong to do.

I have considered doing this but I am always paranoid that a meter reader will just happen to call the next day and I will get rumbled.

I asked one of them before about this, and they said they didn't particularly care, as the meter would eventually balance out over the course of the year anyway. The only meter reading they need to be accurate is the one for your final bill.

Since then I've always just had a quick glance and sent them my own 'approximated' reading. They turn up once a year to take there own reading anyway.

So you might not necessarily get in trouble for it, but presumably the meter readers aren't going to match your lie, they will submit whatever the real reading is.

So if you're unlucky and the once a year they arrive is just after you have submitted an inflated reading then your plan gets screwed up.

But what happens if Aqua round down the pennies throughout the year and you end up with £99.98 or something ? You could lose £5 !

    Isn't it better to spend £3367 for £101.01 ? Or £3350 for £100.50 ?

I suppose that could be it as well lol. Still, I wouldn't be complaining with £95

People shouldn't need a spell checker to spell 'paid'. This is just one of many shocking spelling and English language errors I'm seeing - not just on these forums, but in UK media everywhere. Standards are slipping folks! No doubt we are about to see record passes in the exam results for this summer...

With all due fairness, English exams and spelling makes up for a minor amount of marks. What gets you marks is how well you answer the question, or to meet the criteria that the examiner wants

It irks me too, but at the end of the day, forum members aren't exactly going to be graded on the quality of their posts, or their spelling

About two weeks from when they received the signed credit agreement.

Your credit limit was the bottom left hand number on the form you returned.

I only realised from the posts on here after I sent the form back that the credit limit was shown on the form.

I made a debit card payment (from their web site) 2 days ago and it is cleared today.

I made one on Tuesday (morning) and it cleared today.
    So doesn't seem too bad.

Does anyone know, does paying off utility bills count as making a purchase? That would really help me get towards the £3andabitk as I'm not a massive spender.

It does, but watch that your supplier does not charge a % fee for using a CC, my electricity supplier charges 1.5% as does my council when paying the council tax.

If they charge 1.5%, it's still worth it imo, because the OP will be 1.5% up (eventually)

Agreed, but it could be higher, 1.5% is what my supplier charges, and as Masomnia only has a £250 limit and goes over all cashback will be lost plus the supplier charge,(if they do).
