Wouldn't it have been easier for at least some of you to have puts your accounts in debit to the tune of the cashback amount?
Why did no-one listen to me :-)
I appreicate not everyone's statement date tallied with this, but it would have for most people.0 -

I thought that was exactly what I had done but they just took the DD and left my account in credit.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -
Aqua obviously lied to you. As I said in my earlier post, they only started posting out the cheques yesterday. They have employed delaying tactics to hang on to the money as long as they cxan.
I seem to remember reading several posts over the last few weeks where people have been told by Aqua that cheques started being sent "yesterday". However I'm not seen anyone say they got their cheque yet.
So it sounds like this is their standard lie to get people off the phone. So I wouldn't be sure you that you were told the truth either.
We'll just have to wait and see.0 -
My point was that important matters - like id fraud, financial fraud, data protection and section 75 may not receive great customer service either.
I recently put a small amount on a credit card to cover a major a long purchase (solar panels). It might ONLY last 6 years but I'd rather put my trust in another company and not Aqua.0 -

I did
Cashback credited, final remaining balance paid off with a faster payment to the account. Job done.
I'm just waiting for my last statement this month and then my time with Aqua will be over.0 -
Just returned a call from Aqua because they've finally resolved a cashback dispute (and they haven't actually, but they have posted a goodwill credit of 80p into my account. 80 PENCE!!!!) I honestly have no idea where they got that figure from, because that wasn't the disputed amount and doesn't relate to purchases from 20th Jan that were erroneously at 0.5%....
But anyway, I was told that they finished generating the cheques last week and the first went into the post on Monday, but the posting could last until Friday. If it's such a long-winded process, maybe they could be forgiven for saying different things.
The funniest thing was that they then asked if I wanted the 80p put directly into my bank account! I nearly laughed.0 -

Maybe they ran out of stamps? They're certainly starting to run out of excuses.0

I'm genuinely curious whether the delays are deliberate, or down to incompetence.
I can see some advantage in not paying immediately, and I also can understand why they stopped the 3% offer - we are unprofitable customers, after all.
But, by being slow, they've also damaged their brand. So, if hypothetically, a friend came to me and said, "I've got a poor credit history, but want to rebuild it, and will pay off my card in full each month," I doubt I'd recommend aqua to them. Which is rather silly of aqua.0
