Aqua Reward Credit Card - 3% cashback up to £100/year

Is the new Aqua Cashback Card (at 0.5%) still going to be the best credit card available for overseas purchases ?
I believe it is the only fee free credit card with 0% foreign fee and cashback (although a very small amount).
Thanks0 -
Just to confirm - is the card being closed for all existing customers?
Any ideas if the cashback on spending to date will be paid if you are in the middle of your year? I've spent nearly 3.5k on it but won't be paid till July next year. Just wondering what happens if they close the account...0 -
Halifax is 0% foreign too but no cashback as such (£5 if you spend £300 on my Reward card, don't know what the deal is for new customers/non RCA customers)
For purchases, Aqua will be due to the cashback. For withdrawals, it depends on your interest rate I guess - assuming for most Halifax will be cheaper on the cash interest0 -

I'm going to start using it for everything except petrol - because I get 3% on that with my Santander 123 card. I was using my Santander card for supermarkets and department stores because I thought I'd spend enough on Aqua to get my £100 cash back on purchases that didn't qualify for cash back with Santander. If I'd known this was coming I would have used it for everything but petrol from when the new cash back year started. I doubt I will earn my £100 by January now.3 stone down, 3 more to go0

If you don't opt for the new 0.5% cash back card then your accrued cash back will be paid when they close your account.3 stone down, 3 more to go0 -

I've not seen the letter as I'm away from home for a few days - does it include an application form for this new card, or is there a weblink? Does it mention whether acceptance is guaranteed?
Thanks0 -

Thanks
It comes with a pre-filled application form that you just have to sign and date. No guarantee of acceptance though."A nation of plenty so concerned with gain" - Isley Brothers - Harvest for the World0 -
