Aqua Reward Credit Card - 3% cashback up to £100/year

Just came here to say just recived my first £100 cashback for the first year then found it's closing. Annoying!
Luma 4% cashback card for anyone looking for a new one.0 -
Looks like I will stick with my Barclaycard cashback (1%) for everything and the Luma for the 4% on fuel/supermarket.0
-
My average monthly expenditure on supermarket shopping and petrol is only ~£100 so even at 4% I could only get ~£50 a year. I'd also lose the extra clubcard points I get for using my Tesco credit card.0
-
Only on groceries; you could still earn 1% (Tesco Clubcard) + 4% (Luma) on petrol if you presented both cards.
Scrounger
I don't spend much on petrol anyway. In the last year I spent £290, so 4% would be £11.60. Not really worth it.0 -
I'm a bit worried that they don't just switch the cards...it will be a full new credit check and a new application for a card - and my 0% balance transfer Virgin money card runs out in february, then I'll need to apply for a new card somewhere anyway.
Luckily I'm going abroad before January and then possibly not for a year again, so could always reapply for a 0.5% cashback Aqua card at a later time, when the Virgin card is paid off.
It was great while it lasted indeed!CC1: [STRIKE]£2080.00 £1550 [/STRIKE] Paid off! :j
CC2:[STRIKE]£1040.30 £420.00[/STRIKE] £1450 0% interest till Feb 2015
Total: [STRIKE]£3320.30[/STRIKE] (Oct 2012) - £1450.00 (Feb 2014)0 -

Are you sure ?
I was under the impression that the new card was only available to those transferring to it from the existing card, and not to 'new' customers ?0 -
Disappointing to see the offer coming to an end but it was always going to be a relatively short term deal. At least me and my other half have both had £100 last year and should reach the £100 this year too before 22nd January.
One positive to come from it of course is that we'll be receiving this year's £200 in early February instead of August0 -
I have just received my statement with £100 cashback on it. :j :money: I was thinking that this card was too good to be true and now I have to find out on here that it is closing - when did eveyone get informed and was it by letter as I haven't received any notification yet? :eek:0
