Aqua Reward Credit Card - 3% cashback up to £100/year

Our recent statements clearly stated £100 cashback on them.
You aren't in Year 2 yet and won't get year 2 statements until after 6/8 and 11/8.
I'll get mine 18/8 but Iand1 has kindly offered to give us the good news earlier around 27/7.
BTW - how do you know you won't need proof of purchase of a broken electrical item in 7 months time (statements are on the website for 6 months believe) or for insurance purposes if you have a flood/fire/burglary or do you keep receipts for everything?
I try to keep receipts for things that might need it, but statements are a useful backup.0 -

No point keeping statements for meals out, groceries, etc. I only keep them if there are items with a guarantee or any holiday bookings such as flights or accommodation.
And I do keep all my receipts as well.0 -

Don't forget you have statutory rights too which may exceed what is offered by a guarantee.
You may also need receipts if you were ever unlucky enough to make an inurance claim. Had some friends claim for a broken chest freezer and they had a big job pricing all the food.
I operate a similar system to you but I probably don't keep enough for some circumstances.0 -
Warning about Aqua: partner was just on the phone to them for over an hour because they had failed to take the last d/d payment. They blamed the bank for this, but the bank eventually worked out that it had rejected the payment because the reference number had randomly changed back to that of a previous card which had been invalidated months ago after the card had been lost. Aqua could not work out why this had happened, but have promised to refund all fees etc, which of course they are obliged to do.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0

Failed DD collection here as well. They were supposed to take my money yesterday, and didn't. I'll leave it till Monday - they've been late once before.
In my case there's no "old reference number" to fall back on, so there's no excuse.
Even if they messed up, I should be in the clear, because I had a payment go through just after the statement was produced, and it covered the entire statement and then some. It's just that this failed DD is supposed to lower my current balance, so I can spend some more0 -
Anyone made card payments online? Mines not going through, on any of my cards. Don't know if it's fraud prevention, or Aqua being silly. I've had no texts/automated calls I usually get from any of the card providers0

Does anyone know what Aqua do if you pay the card into credit? And if you still earn cashback on transactions made with any credit on the account?Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.- Mark TwainArguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon: no matter how good you are at chess, its just going to knock over the pieces and strut around like its victorious.0

So... the EU wants to cut fees. That is all. The end of free banking is just a side effect (if the banking industry decides it's in their interest to go ahead with it, that is). I love these headlines
Edit:
I imagined how the end of free banking might go:
Option 1: All banks introduce fees at the same time. The problem with this scenario is that they may fall on the wrong side of some competition law, on basis of collusion or cartel issues. Some financial authority will have to authorise this if it were to happen.
Option 2: Banks gradually introduce fees, and customers flee to banks that are still free. Whoever starts the fee wave stands to lose the most, and whoever is last wins the most - with all those customers coming their way.
So what the banks can really do is go to Cameron an beat him until he gets an opt-out from the EU on these regulations as well, because otherwise it's a lose-lose situation.
Agreed. Charges for banking facilities are common elsewhere; but have never taken hold here. All of the banks would, I'm sure, like to charge customers for it; but they also all mknow that if they start then their customers will jump ship instantly to places which don't charge. I can't see Nationwide or Coop ever introducing fees tbh. But all it takes is for one bank not to introduce any, and all customers will go there. The exceptions would be those who can't get an account elsewhere - many of whom would be considered financially vulnerable and I suspect the banks would have a hard time enforcing fees onto them.
As you say, all banks would have to introduce them simultaneously (or at least all announce their fees before any actually start) - and that would require collusion and they'd be pulled up for it.Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.- Mark TwainArguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon: no matter how good you are at chess, its just going to knock over the pieces and strut around like its victorious.0 -

Aqua MasterCard have sent me a letter and it is also on their statement that they have changed their sort code and account number. I am with Lloyds bank so you would think it would be easy to set up a new internet payment to Aqua. Either Lloyds or Aqua have not got together as it is now not possible to set up a payments using the new account code and number as Lloyds still have the old numbers in their system. I have spoken to both Lloyds and Aqua who blame each other.0
