  • Oh dear, so you get a final letter and then another 3 final ones after that - wow professional!

Its quite amazing as well how little time they give you, its been less than a month since the incident and i'm already on the 3rd letter and 3rd rung of their increased fees.
  • I guess their argument is that I should have bought a ticket, although I was in my car and had it been a proper car park, once the ticket man turned up I would have moved on - but they have employed underhand tactics to scam money off people.

    Fair enough.

Another tactic to look out for (and smile if you see it) is the letter that states 'we are now taking court action unless we hear from you by XXth of July. The letter will be dated a week earlier and you'll receive it the day after the deadline.

Your particular scammers may or may not employ this tactic, but we do see it a lot. If you do get one, save the envelope, particularly if it franked with a date. Trading Standards might be interested if you are so inclined!

Yes, the 'final' demand, very rarely is. They'll keep trying with further letters because, frankly, that's all they've got. They won't try court.
    Je Suis Cecil.
  • Well, its been over a month since I got my first final notice - does this mean they have given up - I sure hope so!

Post 46, no it won't. You're probably connected with a PPC who is losing money left right and bloody centre, well tough, liar.

It will not get beyond begging letters and all the money you are probably losing in postage will not be coming back you the likes of you because people are becoming more and more aware of yours or your mates total extortion and blackmail racket.

It's coming to an end troll. You don't like it one bit but it's coming to an end.

I hope the PPC scum end up in the gutter where they belong and no longer able to prey on law abiding honest people who are not aware of the scam, extortion and blackmail.

I still continue to get the word out and will do till the lot of you are eradicated.

You and all PPC's are pure unadulterated thieving scum.

  • we parked the car in the DW Bury Sports car park Saturday on 4/8/12 and a lady gave us her parking ticket as she leaving, and there was a few hours left on it ,we where only there 1.and a half hours . today we received a parking fine for £50 i dont know what to do about it , it doesnt look like a legal document to me , also we dont live in that area so it is all new to us

I am not happy about the DVLA passing on data to these so called car park companies . i was led to believe that your information was confidential, this is were fraud comes in , taking dates of birth licence number's etc.

Who was the "fine" from? If it was at a sports centre in Bury and was from the council, please start a new thread.
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)
  • Hi I am new to site so forgive me if I make mistake.

I just received parking notice from ParkingEye after stopping at a shopping park (I've never previously visited) to ask for directions. My partner remained in the car.
I also went to the toilet and then swapped with my partner so he could do the same. They say we were in the area for around 40 mins.

They are demanding £50. The charge for the first hour of parking I now learn was £1.

I looked at the POPLA site and my situation does not seem to be accepted for an appeal to them.

In light of the new Government regulations Oct 2012 is it worth any time or effort appealing to the company or should I just pay up??
