I love the BBC.

1. I don't work for the BBC

3. The law beats any other source of information hands down, hand up or hands anywhere you like.

The_Safordian wrote: »Does it not worry you that certain people want this censorship here, we are living in the UK and not North Korea you know.
I did start this as feedback but as you can see these "people" wont even allow this when it comes to the BBC, think about it.
EDIT: My apologies, I see you were the first person jumping in acting as a back seat moderator, kind of ironic considering what you've just said
The site owner dictates the censorship. Just as you dictate what is displayed within your home/business.
You cannot seem to grasp that a private body can dictate it's own agenda.
Keep going though; it's quite funny (in a sad way) really. :cool:0 -

Once again you are trying to be a back-seat moderate and speaking for an owner that isn't here. The FACT remains there are terms and conditions which should be adhered to and this means people shouldn't be trying to censor certain topics with off-topic attacks....................please remember this the next time you try speaking for the mods and owner, I think we can guess you are one of those who doesn't wish to see criticism of the BBC or its Licence1. The LAW has been stated to you, it says you only require a BBC TV Licence if you receive live feeds, the question is why do you wish to keep lying here?
You've even been given sources to prove this while you are all hear-say and trying to speak for the mods and owner, very suspicious. Your comments show yet again that the "moderation" here isn't carried out. It seems there are people who willingly accept the rules and others who just do as they like, real13140 -
The Safordian - below is how it works here.
You've got an agenda in this 'debate'. Other people have different agendas. In order to stop the wearisome bickering between you and them, the forum team lock the posts and delete some. I doubt they really care as to what side of the 'debate' is the 'winning' one, it's just to try and prevent more complaints about the threads. Trying to argue your case like this makes you look like just as much of a troll as the pro-BBC people you talk about. It's a private forum that you're on and if you don't like it or that (as you claim) people derail the threads with 'off-topic attacks', you are perfectly free to go somewhere else.0 -

There is no agenda is wanting the truth to get out, the problem is certain individuals don't want that. I as others will have noticed always back myself up with proof while certain other people just give hear-say and go off-topic to stifle debate. In order to stop the wearisome bickering between you and them, the forum team lock the posts and delete some.
Are you the forum team, I ask because you are now the second person who claims to speak for them. The fact remains a moderation team is supposed to moderate which should mean they either debate like others or are dealt with in whatever way this site deems right. We have seen however that they can keep getting threads closed at will which means they have more power than the moderators. This fact stands out because of the way others claim to speak for the moderation team all the time.Trying to argue your case like this makes you look like just as much of a troll as the pro-BBC people you talk about. If you feel that way why do you keep coming back here. Do you agree that anything negative about the BBC should be closed down and censored like these individuals want?
I stick to the rules, why don't you?. You seem to be defending trolling which doesn't give this site or the mods a good picture!0 -

Nowhere did I claim to speak for them - if you can point out specifically where I actually claimed to speak for them then please do. What I posted was a simple statement of my opinion and my views after using this site for the last 7 or so years.The_Safordian wrote: »The fact remains a moderation team is supposed to moderate which should mean they either debate like others or are dealt with in whatever way this site deems right. As you've been told already, it isn't a 'moderation' team. They aren't there to sort out bickering between people or to check every single post before it is accepted for submission, they're there to sort out proper issues and if the bickering gets too much, they simply close threads. No-one here has claimed to speak for them, you really need to step up the anti-paranoia medicineThe_Safordian wrote: »If you feel that way why do you keep coming back here. Strange post. I told you how it seems to be here. I like it here and I assist people where I can. I'm not defending anything, I am saying that you and the others going on like you do are wasting your own time as IN MY OPINION (and not speaking for them) the forum team (note, NOT moderators) really don't care what your little issue is, they simply want the site to keep flowing pleasantly.0 -

I am sticking to the rules, please point out where I haven't.
I am not defending trolling, I am pointing out that there is no moderating team and the people that do the running of the forum don't have time to deal with petty disputes like this clearly is. To keep the forum (approx 80 different boards and tens of thousands of posts per day) running they don't have time to do much other than lock threads when the bickering gets too much.
If you don't like it then move on.0 -

Yes. It's not your site, it belongs to someone / a company (not sure if the sale has been completed yet ?)
Their site, their rules, it is as simple as that. It's not funded by a public body, it's not a government site, there is no need for the owners to justify anything. Accept it or move on.0 -

It's not YOUR site either so why are you so determined to stop people debating certain issues, whats in this for you?Their site, their rules
Rules is the key something you don't seem to respect! It's not funded by a public body, it's not a government site, there is no need for the owners to justify anything. Accept it or move on.
It's not your site either so why are you acting like it is. You said before you have no connections with the BBC so why are you fighting tooth and nial to make sure negative topics are closed/locked ?
Oh and I doubt I'm the only one to have noticed you keep dodging this question but repeat the same old stuff like you are the moderation team or the owner???
If I wish to get a subject you wish to debate locked/closed would that be acceptable?0
