Hee hee, I have the best of both worlds - my OH lives 2 doors up so we can choose if and when we want each other's company
Not so long ago, he'd settled himself quite comfortably on my couch when I told him to booger off as I wanted to paint my toenails and watch Masterchef in peace :rotfl:
I can't remember which celebrity said the perfect marriage was when husband and wife lived in separate houses but I can vouch for it :cool:0 -
Mine would be:
No ''man smells''.
Knowing that when the laundry gets done, there's no risk of it all going in one load and turning all the whites grey.
Having more time and space for hobbies.:j0 -
Taking food out of the fridge, having a bite out of it, or a slurp of juice from a carton and putting it back. My cheese has teeth marks in it. :rotfl:
Having the bed to yourself :j
Getting up late and saying stuff the housework, then going out.
Yer can't beat it

I've always thought that, living next door would be perfect!0 -
Yes, yes, yes and yes to every single point made above!!!
I love living on my own. When I was made single after living with my fiance (at the time) for 7 years, I thought my world was going to end - all those luxuries I wouldn't have, the silence/loneliness....
You know what? Best thing ever, I've truly learnt to love me and my own company. If I don't want to see people, I don't have to
One negative for me is that I wish I had a maid who would cook my dinners from scratch each evening, so I don't have to think about that when I've been at work all day :rotfl:I have a simple philosophy:
Fill what's empty. Empty what's full. Scratch where it itches.

You can leave the toilet seat up/down (delete as applicable) without any moaning from anyone else!!:D0

Nobody commenting when you get that second ( or third) glass of wine from the fridge, sitting in bed on a Saturday morning with the laptop, being totally responsible for what you spend your money on, no football on the telly! ( I speak as a singleton of nearly 3 months after 23 years of marriage!)0

Oh it has to be being able to lie in the bath reading for hours on end and no-one knocking on the door to get in.
Or not having to go home if you decide to go out after work, without having to negotiate
Having the remote to yourself.0 -
personally i hate it.......I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute :whistle:0
