Don't put up with this! Same happened to me, I asked for number of Head Office so I could ring and ask them how these could have been sold AFTER I had reserved them (I ordered 2, one for me and one for in-laws). After I said my piece, the warehouse bod (after being winked at by CS bod) decided to ahve one final look in the back. Guess what? He found the 2 I'd ordered. You really shouldn't let them get away with this. OK, if the staff see a cheap item in the store, I've no problem with them buying it, but to nab stuff that customers have already reserved is close to stealing in my book.

Thanks for that Will remember this for tomorrow -- reserved 2 at another store where I am near to in my travels. Will go mad if they are 'missing' too !

    cheers TB

Been over an hour since I ordered mine and still no email, checked and now it's showing out of stock at that store so hopefully should get confirmation soon, would have gone tonight to collect but it stated to leave for 1 hour and by that time the store would have been closed.
Why pay full price when you may get it YS ;)

Well I got the 'sorry sir, that item is not in stock in this branch' phone call about 45 minutes after reserving mine.

Guess the staff got there first.

I would advise people to get down to the stores asap. The reserve and collect system allows to collect stock based on a logical store stockholding. I get the last one - store showing 5 - but the store does not physically have the others. Logical stockholding (what the system shows) does not take into account where the store have not written off stock or amended their records correctly, and may differ from their physical stock. Also if 2 people are in the system at the same time, it may not update and both can "book" the stock...

Sadly I work in Logistics so I know this can happen!

I reserved one in Unit B Cheltenham Retail Park Tewkesbury Road Cheltenham GL51 9RR. It is reserved until close of business on friday. Unfortunately I will be unable to collect it by that time. May be a case of I will get a phone call anyway saying it is out of stock.

First to PM me with their e-mail address get's e-mailed the HTML reservation confirmation page with which to purchase the goods. Pay cash and they needn't know you're not me.

I know what you are saying, but a friend of mine works at Currys and I know EXACTLY what happens at that store when an extreme bargain surfaces....
