  • Aw that's great news Fae :D

There is a lot of thinking/planning/calculating to be done now to decide the route he will go down. Will definitely give him a confidence boost too :)

    Hello,

On the job front, we have decided to wait until the company come back with a firm offer and see if they have any hours to offer him yet, and then decide from there.

Pay day tommorrow, early this month because of Christmas, but means I can get some more debt paid off, which I am looking forward too.:D

  • Fingers crossed their proposals are good Fae!

My husband gets paid early, just before Christmas (usually last day of the month) and I used to do when I was employed and I HATE it! Encourages silly spending and makes budgeting for the next month a real pain! Bah humbug :p

I'm not really bah humbug, I love Christmas, by my oh my it is like running the gauntlet for DFWs I think!

    Hi,

LB, I know what you mean, I have been one of those doing the spending in previous years. But this year I have transfer all my salary to a seperate account so I can't touch it until my normal pay date. The only exception is I have made my overpayment early, as it will bring the interest down a little, so this brings me into the 8's and means I can close another credit card :j

Some good news today, I have just closed my highest rate credit card, I will have one more interest payment to make just before the end of the year, and then that's another one cleared. This leaves me with three cards. One is at 0% and the payment amounts are set to make sure it clears before the 0% ends. The other two are the same interest rate so I'll work on the one with the lowest balance first. I'm hoping that by reducing the amount of credit available to me and by making more payments I might be able to get another 0% card, I'll give it a couple of months so that my records can update and then give it a try.
So the next card I'm going to work on has a balance of £1955 lets see how quickly I can clear that. :D
