He has not heard anything yet, he rang the person that was supposed to interviewing him again, and left a second message, and will pop into the job centre tommorrow to see if they can do anything. (he has his part time job today) but we may have to write this one of, ah well he didn't want to work for such a disorganised company anyway at least that's what I'm telling myself :rotfl:

Really looking forward to the dual role can't wait to get started.:D

Tomorrow I am of to the good food show (my Mum bought tickets for me as an Xmas gift) I have a budget and again will only take cash so I can't be tempted to go over it. Aiming to come back with money again, got to give it a go. :)

    Hi All,

Had a good day at the food show, and came back with money unspent, :T so very pleased.
Got some lovely food for Christmas, all bought from small producers so very good quality and there is something lovely about buying food you can't get in the big supermarkets.

Now of to trim the tree :D

    Hello,

Happy December to you too Headabovewater, as you can probably tell I'm a bit of a Christmas fan :rotfl:anything sparkly and that's it I'm in heaven.

OH went to the job centre to ask if his interview would be resheduled but as they didn't arrange them, just loaned the company the room, they don't know anything about it. He also tried ringing the person who arranged the interview again and left another message but hasn't heard anything back, so looks like we will have to give up on that, just have to start looking for other jobs to apply for. Maybe things will be better in the New Year.

In better news, did lots of cooking yesterday so dinner sorted for the next two nights, and work lunches sorted too, and started making Christmas chocolates, so lots done.

Hope everyone has a good Monday

    Hi Aamberle,

Christmas chocs so far consists of melting cheap own barnd choc and pouring into festive moulds (I bought those years ago so no cost there) so not very technical, :D I will be making some flavored ones, orange and mint, and also some fondant ones, OH bought me a sweet making bok last Xmas and time I used it. I'll let you know how it goes. Fingers crossed.

And yes I belive something much better is just around the corner for him too :D
Hope you had a good day too

Oooh Fae you have inspired me too.. I have some Christmas moulds lurking somewhere in the back of the cupboard - may do that on Saturday..get some flavour and ta da I will look very nigella esque..well I have the dark hair anyway:D..You will have to let me know how the fondant ones come out and I may ask for the recipe..I was looking the BBC website and was thinking about doing the truffles on there - they don't seem too hard..although think DH would rather I did mince pies..anyway enough food rambling...

How are you? Do you have any plans for the weekend?

    Have a great day xx

    Hi All,

Aamberle I'll be doing fondant chocs next weekend, so will update you then :D, I make also try making some honeycomb (really easy to do) break it up into small pieces and adding that, I think that could be good. I've not tried making truffles, so you'll have to let me know how you get on.

I have family coming for a meal on Sat so will be doing just a bit of cooking, menu is sorted to start hm bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping main hm gnooci and tomatoe and oilve sauce (by special request from my Sister :)) and dessert hm jam roly poly with custard, and mandarin sorbert, I had a lot of the ingredients already so hasn't cost much at all. very MSE.

Love the idea for mint chocs, and of course you have to test them, important to make sure they taste just right before giving them out :D
