Well what did you do when you were a 12 year old?
Let her shave; buy her an electric razor if you think she might harm herself!0 -
If you spend a decent amount on a decent razor, your daughter should be fine. Or as gordon says, buy an eletric razor. My mum bought me one a few years ago, but it hurt so i did not use it
. Or you could ask your daughter what she would like to use
good luck x0 -
The silky mitts are great - you just buff the hair away. Exfoliates the skin too0

I'd get her something like this:
Phillips Ladyshave
It's rechargeable and she can use it in the shower as well, as it can be used wet or dry.
I got one when I was round about the same age and had no problems at all.0 -
is it painful to use an electric shaver. I use a normal razor but dont like using it, sometimes i use NAIR which is a hair removal cream.0

i got one of those but never got round to using it as i dont know where i put it lol, i wont be looking fr it now
I don't know, I guess they probably work ok for some but I didn't thinkit worked with the hair removal that well and when I persevered it kind of ended up like a dry razor rash... ouchhKeely0 -
Wise, very wise lol

id rather not use it lol, my skin is sensitive as it is, cant do with a rash as its painful. Have you ever tried a lady shaver? I want to get one but i have read it can be painful.0 -
I just got a Silky Mitt and I find it quite good to use, on bits of the body without bends in anyway! I find it easier that shaving and as long as I follow the instructions exactly, moisturise and use the damp towel, I don't get any rash.
However, as the OP's post was about underarm hair, I definately wouldn't recommend the silky mitt for that! I used to have a ladyshave electric shaver when I first started shaving and that worked well (though I still managed to cut myself!, no idea how!) but a safety razor is just as good.
I've also tried things like Veet but I always get a bit fed up with them as they take so long to work and the speed of regrowth isn't much slower than shaving for me.0
