On a side note if you live in a larger city this might be a good idea to use
I buy vouchers via Quidco and get 8% cashback so I always pay for my waxing in vouchers from spa finder.0 -

Mines a philips one with an ice pack thingy - satinelle ice maybe? its lilac anyway! Ive not used it a huge amount yet, as it does hurt but you do start to get used to the pain! I have found that it hurts less on my right underarm than it does on my left! but maybe Im wierd! :rotfl:0

How coincidental I have just epilated.
I have this one http://www.shavers.co.uk/shopping.php?product_id=354&utm_source=base&utm_medium=directory or one very similar.
I use it legs, under arms and bikini (really it's not sore) if you can master the under arms you can defo do the bikini.......
It's slow doing it in circles but I''ve found that works best especially on my legs.Everyone is entitled to their opinionEllie 25/12/070 -
I think mine's the same as Claire's - the lilac one with the ice pack bit - and I'd definitely recommend it. I only used the icy bit the first couple of times, don't need it any more - but it does come with a shaver head so you can trim bits you don't want to shave. Plus it comes with a bag, a charger, a pair of exfoliating gloves and a cleaning brush - and it's on offer there at the moment! :j
I do my legs with it and sometimes it's fine on one leg, then it really hurts on the other! - but I prefer it to waxing cos you don't get left with sticky bits. I do my bikini line with it too but wouldn't do any more than that down there - ouch!!!
The only thing I've found with waxing/epilating is that it makes my skin really really itchy about a week after, and I scratch so much it sometimes bleeds. That sounds really minging sorry! but make sure you use a nice kind sort of moisturiser without too many irritating chemicals, I use Lush's Dream Cream which seems to have improved things a lot!0 -
Forgot to say - I develop red dots where it's ripped out all the hairs, a couple of hours after I've epilated - so make sure you do it the day before an important event where you're going to wear a skirt!0

i use a braun xpressive (or something like that!) - works a treat and i used it 'everywhere' with no real pain problem. i never found waxing too bad, so i guess if you're fine with that then it'll be fine. it is a bit pricey compared to others, but i got it on special offer at argos with nectar points contributing. well worth the cost as far as i'm concerned (and after spending £15ish a month on waxing, it saves a lot of money in the long run!).:happyhear0

Oooh, thanks guys, im gonna have a look on Amazon tonight and see where i can pick up a cheapie but a goodie - i like the sound of the Satin ice one for starters.
Thanks again

My hubby bought me a Braun one last christmas with the pack that you put in the freezer first.
It was a bit painful at first but once you've used it a few times, it does seem to be a little less painful.
I do still have my legs waxed sometimes just to get back to bare legs again but then try and keep them 'hair free' with my epilator. I find the epilator doesn't give me the 'plucked chicken' redness that waxing does though.
Never used it anywhere other than my legs - not that brave. Have had my underarms waxed once and that didn't hurt as much as I thought it would.
