Busy bank holiday away with friends - but matrixey news have swapped a small critical illness policy for a more comprehensive one and gained a pile of £ in return form the original one so have paid off one credit card, car tax, mini break and then trying to get a few necessary bits and bobs done around the house.

We spent bank holiday tidying my daughter's craft room (conservatory) which took a total of two days! Got rid of loads of bits and even persuaded her to sell some of the craft stuff she doesn't use such as stamps (so if anyone interested let me know!). It looks much better now and measn all her boxes of beads are laid out, so they can easily be seen. There were a few storage bits I suggested she put on freecycle but she said she would just try them on the local selling page on facebook and got £30 for them!

In MSE news, I got a refund from my utility company and water company which has boosted my savings a bit.

I have also just tidied the cupboard of doom (where all the paperwork gets shoved) so feeling pleased that is one job less to do.

  • Hurray for reimbursements from power companies.

This is one of those things that companies do that annoy me so much. It's our money after all!

Sorry to have neglected you all, but life seems to have got in the way and have been feeling generally bleugh!
Have taken my eye of the ball and now suffering the consequences but am back now, going to do lots of baby steps(again) and get everything back under control.
Going to return to my diary also which helped me keep on track.
Have so far this weeks tackled all the paperwork - 2 months worth:eek:, filled a charity bag from our bedroom.re-started my greenhouse , cut down a very overgrown hedge and restarted my spending diary.

Have popped back home from work as I had asked a local handy man to come round and quote for taking some garden stuff to the tip. He wanted £25 but I said no more than £20 as the tip isn't that far away from me, which he agreed to. I am now waiting for him to come back, wish he would hurry up as I am meant to me at work! I am working as well whilst I am here but have so much to do at work that I need to get back.......

It is a bit annoying I have to pay anyway but the council won't take it as there was too much for them - one big builders bag so not loads but I thought if I don't get it sorted it will be sat at the front of the property for ever!

Back to work with an almighty bump. 10 hour days and nothing to show for it. Organised chaos as usual. LEA claiming they want a flag ship service but relying on good will and providing zilch funding and !!!!!! all support:mad:

Aaargh on your behalf Igamogam - hope it gets better soon

Acting boss here as real boss off for bereavement so all sorts of stuff going on and still got my class to teach most of the week - interesting times. Mostly managing to keep everything ticking over but no idea how long this will carry on. Have got contingency plans ready if it becomes a long term issue and got a cleaner coming in at home next week to make sure that doesn't go to rack and ruin (not very mse but very necessary)
