0.6% saved today, walked into town instead of taking the bus. It's a 6 mile round trip and it took an hour either way but my legs hurt now in the painful way that means I've had some great excercise and saved some money so I should be proud.
So that makes a grand total of....3.6% earned so far....oh well, slowly but surely.Thank you competition posters!

Heeeey! I'm new! Joined this because I wanna get rid of the little bit I've got before it becomes too much! I currently have approx £200 debt. Making my 1% £2 and I'm aiming for 10% a fortnight
Most of this is owed to Vodafone which I have to pay online so my plan is to set aside the money in 5-10% bundles and when I reach that 5-10% and get paid I'll pay it off online and then open up the bundles and use them for getting things while out and about because my stupid bank has closed my local branch and I'm not forking out £5 just to go to my local branch to pay money in lol :rotfl:
I'd then like to start saving because me and my fella are hoping to move in a couple of months and once we're settled in the flat we intend to start saving to redecorate as we have some nice furniture but it's all kinda mix matched because it's been bought second hand in drips and drabs!
One of my ways of raising money is by doing cupboard shopping via approved foods, the rest of my shopping via mysupermarket to save me more pennies and then the actual earning part is coming from handmade cards. I sell them at £2 each, I currently have loads of stuff in but when that's gone it's no biggy as it costs me approx £5-£10 to make 10 anyway (depending on what goes on them) so I'm making a minimum of £10 profit per 10 cards£5 A Day Challenge - September £0/£155
Clearing My Debt £20/£10400 -
Good afternoon folks!
I've done a bit of a round up and it looks like I'm averaging around 3% each week. While that's way more than I was doing before I started this, my target is 4% each week (to be debt free before Christmas!) This means I'm currently a few % behind so now it's time to up the anti!! I need to find that extra percent!!
The easiest thing I could do is extra hours at work. My wages pay my mins AND I manage to put 1% per week. Then I'm making up percents 2 & 3 through ideas, saving and sales. If I could make another 1% at work then I'm on track again.
Here are a few other things that I've been doing:-
Quidco app (earning a few £'s while window shopping)
Re-submitted my updated PPI complaint after they asked for more info. If I got this back it would put me instantly back on track. If they also awarded the 8% interest & returned the charges then I would be WAY ahead of target. That's probably a big life & debt changing decision that could happen.
Done a couple of tasks on FiveSquids (considering launching 10, 20 or 30 squids tasks too!)
Cashed out my earnings from Elance writing CVs also bid on a few other jobs that seem fun.
Considering going freelance with a few other skills. Will set up a little website, if it took off it could really boost my income! That should be free to set up and only take a weekends work.
What else...hmm
Oooh we've had another wedding booking which is fab news!0 -
Hi everyone,
Sorry for this extremely long post, but I've finally figured it out.
I've got two credit cards outstanding, my Dad to pay back (which isn't urgent but needs to be done), university fees to save for (£2,500 for the first module), a holiday (£2,500 to include spending money) and a house to save up for (well rent but I want my half of the rent for 3 months available, my share of the deposit and £1,000 for any furniture although I'm hoping for less).
So in this order, I want to pay for
University £2,500 1%= £25
House £2,400 1% = £24
Credit cards £2,797.26 1% = £28
Holiday £2,500 1% = £25
Dad £5,590.10 1% = £56 or 0.5% at £28
I take part in the "£10 per day challenge" so will be putting money from that into each pot. University is the most important so I'll be putting 2% away in that before moving on to each one. I'm tempted to split my Dad's into 0.5% as it is interest free.
I'm going to finish the £10 per day challenge then once I've got all that money allocated I'll update this challenge on a more regular basis. Just need to set up all the different e-savings accounts now....I like to make money
Best wins: £3,000 luxury holiday, holiday in Cornwall, £250 Murad Skincare hamper, angle grinder
:j Make £10 a day challenger - it pays for trips to Florida! :j

Hmmm, what to do? I've got £40.80 payable from cashback, which I was planning on paying towards the debt.
They are now saying I can get it as amazon vouchers with an extra 5%, so making it £42.84. Thinking this could be put towards christmas...... But that's why I'm doing swagbucks......
Don't know what to doCan't think of anything smart to put here...0 -
What is wrong with me??
Obviously I should be paying the debt with the blo0dy money
Waiting on it transferring from cashback to paypal, then will get it from paypal to my bank, then pay it to the cc (what a long way round a short cut :rotfl:)Can't think of anything smart to put here...0 -
Oh to own an ice cream van on a day like today! That would clear up loads of my %:rotfl:Ahhhh well better get my sewing stuff out later and prepare for christmas, aided by a nice cold glass of wine. There is money to be made somehow!Waste not, want not!

Must get bum into gear over sorting out more stuff to Ebay. Not selling a lot apart from a DS game I stupidly bought but that finishes on Sunday and it's got loads of bids on already. I guess I don't mind about the craft stuff because I can just keep relisting it as at 99p it's not costing me anything. If I can get it up to my 100 free listings threshold, keep an eye out for free listing for the better stuff to go up and just keep replacing a lot as it gets sold when I'm able, it'll go eventually. If not, I might do a car boot with it all in a few months. I know i'm in it for the long haul so I've got time to let it have a chance on Ebay first.
Put £9.66 into my ISA which was left over from the bills account. I budget £80 a month for the three monthly bills that I'm responsible for, so anything left over from that can be saved. Only went 12p over on my mobile bill so that was good but the home bill was over £30 due to OH making a very long complaint call to a ppi company. Not getting anywhere with that either.
No new % to declare (I much prefer only declaring full %, makes me feel like I've got somewhere) Still got money in the bank too which is a miracle a week after payday
Our greatest weakness lies in giving up; always try just one more time0 -
Well done to everyone who is generating income. None of my listings on ebay even have bids on them and I have no other income plans at the moment. Some serious brainstorming required this weekend I think! If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0
