  • Morning All, From the sound of it ebay is the way to go. Currently have a boot load of stuff to take to charity shop but could try my luck on ebay first, is it fairly straight forward to sell on there?

Hi! I just started selling on ebay almost 2 weeks ago, so far I've made almost £100, so it's definitely been worth it for me! I found it fairly straight forward to do, I'm sure there's guides as well if you get stuck :) It's definitely worth a try I think, especially if you have a lot of things to put up, then even if they only go for 99p, it all adds up! What I'm doing it giving everything one go on ebay and if it doesn't get any bids after the week it's up, then I'm taking it to the charity shop :)

Afternoon! The bladeless razor is a legend!!!:rotfl:

Well only had 4 hours sleep by the time I got in from work, but feeling very motivated. Have made a list of the stuff in the freezer and cupboards to see what is lurking and can be used.

Hubbies golf trolley on ebay might just be another 2% hopefully by the looks of things!

Feeling a bit like a mum on a mission, as I have read how people are not employing mums or women of childbearing age. Bosses don't want to pay maternity or give time off for sick kids etc etc. This has given me more of an incentive to start my own small business as a sideline.....just in case anything happened with my job!......................Now all I have to figure out is how to fit it in with full time job, part time study, and children lol! I LOVE A CHALLENGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rotfl:

Made zilch on one poll today, but will try not to let that ruin my day!

Time to start making some cross stitch christmas ( I know it's only July but im a slow stitcher!) cards with my stash! Some will be for relatives and others I will flog!

Slow and steady wins the race!!!!

    Afternoon everyone!!

The bladeless razor was paid for this morning :j LOL

We've got a carboot on sunday, weather permitting, so im listing a few 1 day offers on stuff im planning on taking anyway to see if i can raise more than 99p for them as theyd probably go for less at a carboot anyway.

Dont 3 Valued opinions surveys yesterday but didnt qualify for any of them  And i signed up to dooyoo twice and it says im registered and i axtivate via the email but when i go to log in it tells me they dont have my details and i need to sign up :( then i go to sign up and it tells me the same email and username is already in use. Grr very annoying!!

got a voucher through from Tesco, spend £20 this week and get £5 off a £40 shop next week. Thinking i should stock up on tinned and dried foods this week (to add to my Asda shop yesterday) and get food to tie us over til next Friday (payday) and then ill do a bigger shop the week after for £35. Ive got until Weds to place the order this week so plenty of time to assess the stock in the cupboards and order :p

Oooh got a bid on an old Eco living type magazine on Ebay today so do get listing bits and bobs you'd usually throw out ;) The husband thinks im mad :rotfl:

Off to try and do something productive, might get a few things for the carboot gathered up.

Thanks for letting me join in.

Might have to revise my 1% up to £45 at the rate this week is going. :( I'm in the danger zone on my overdraft, I already owe the bank £75 in charges for going over the overdraft this month, got an extension to the overdraft and now flirting with going over that , plus I owe the arrangement fee for the extension! Nightmare.

Anyway, I did get one good thing out of them, a 0% credit card for 23 months. They won't move my overdraft to it, but they will take my credit card balance saving me interest.

I signed the paperwork today, get the card in 5 days. I'm surviving on interesting cupboard combinations this week, but wonder if I should do a big store cupboard essentials shop on my current credit card before I transfer the balance to the 0% one? I have a months meal plan drawn up.

This will help keep me out of the danger zone of my overdraft next month. Is it a good idea to use my credit card as much as I can before I make the transfer application (for stuff i'll have to pay for anyway)?

Sorry, I will be working on my percentages with avengance when this crisis passes. I only need to make it till Tuesday ....
Debt free (finally) and saving a deposit for my first home.

Camera listed on Ebay  Got it on a starting bid of £30, BIN £55 so hoping it sells. They are new on play.com for £90 so figured it should sell :) it was only £1.50 fees to list too :T

Sorted out a few bags of clothes for the carboot, an old pair of RBK trainers and some boots so far :) Got 2 canvas pictures to sell, should get about £10 for 1 and maybe £3 for the other as thats just a print where as the other is spray art design and very funky :D Collecting up my change now for the car boot and need to dig out the pasting table. Visiting my nana later so going to see if she has anything she wants rid of, and seeing Mum also so same applies :) Even if they want the money for it, it should beef out my stall a bit. Got some seed pots and some seeds which we arent going to use this year as so disorganised on that front so think they may sell well. Will keep rummaging.

Been listing like crazy on eBay, so crazy that I've now used up all my free 99p or under listings for this month! I guess this is now a forced dry spell until August, I don't want to list too much at once!
    Thank you competition posters!
  • Hi everyone,

Have been catching up on your thread and would love to join you all. My target is £1300 overdrafts to clear. So. That makes £13 as my 1%.

I have started selling on my local Facebook selling page as that is fee-free but failing that will put them on eBay! Will put most on eBay though as have lots to get rid of! But local page is great for expensive goods or heavy stuff! Have already started clearout a few weeks ago but the money whittled away on not a lot (food and bits) which is annoying, but I will keep going -plenty to get rid of!
