how much did you have to sell before your allowance was increased? my ebay account only lets me list 10 items a month!

Mine was only 10 a month as well. I only joined in May. I think I had sold about 13 things over the last two months, but had reached my 9th item for this months allowances the other day.

There is a link to click to increase your allowance ( think you go into 'My Ebay, then 'selling', you should see the link ) all they do is send out a code in the post. This confirms you live at that address really. But soon as I put the code in it was increased to 100 items. Happy days!!

  • I had just listed lots of items yesterday only to receive an email today saying free listings this weekend! Typical! Will raid the house and list everything else that I was going to do! My mission is to declutter and pay off debt!

Just need some other ways to get extra cash or save money. I mostly shop at aldi as cheap as chips, so never do coupons. How do I get started with coupons as there are some things that I could go to other shops for with coupons if worthwhile! Where door get the coupons from?

Lesgeo2012 I think I might try the trade-in for books instead of selling some of them on amazon as could take forever with all of my books.

Some of my listings are selling so will have a few % of progress soon - I'm very slow to start!

Hi all, doing really well on ebay, there seems to be a bidding war on my old unused laptops and ds LOL, I may have another 1% from the sales which finish tomorrow, going to upload lots this weekend as my partner is at work all tomorrow and Sunday doing overtime which adds up to near £300 as h's just been given a pay rise. Really chuffed about that, what is everyone else up to this weekend?
    The 1% Challenge #76 - Debt 1 = £620 - 1% = £6.20 - 4.3%

That means it's pay-day! I'll do a quick weekly add up of accounts and round up later on this eve.

Just wanted to wish Marshy1985, Jammydodgersandrhl and MrsRosecroft a big 'Hello' and welcome to the thread!

You all have kept me REALLY motivated these past few weeks! Entertained too! :D

I can't believe how much fun I've been having while making progress! I'm also super impressed with how much work folks are putting into it! I think I shall be joining in with the ebay lark this weekend! I actually am just glad of the space, it's a more calming atmosphere to get rid of clutter!

Crikey- payday and just done the money moving as usual. Went to Tesco for a big stock up as I had a fistful of vouchers and overspent my £110 budget (ok, only by three pounds :P). But came under on the petrol budget for the fortnight by £5, so that's ok :)

Overtime and my regular savings have brought me up to 18% (well, only a shade off 19% really but I'll stick at 18%). Squares all coloured in :) Sounds impressive but I'll have to slow down next month as there won't be any overtime available at work :( Hoping to make a fair few % with NSDs this month though- I transfer all my money around on payday to various savings accounts so I don't accidentally spend bill money. This month I'm trying something new- there's 32 days until my next payday, so I've divided what I have left by 32 and each day I'm going to stick to that daily allowance and save anything I don't spend - £2.10 today, it really gives me a lot of motivation to keep my money in my pocket instead of frittering it away! Although I did order two cook books from the book man at work so I've got to save £11 out of my daily spends to pay for that.

Well done on your %s everyone! I can't believe how motivating this is!

So yet another 1% paid off today taking us up to 4% now. I'm not kidding when I say if it wasn't for this thread, I would at best be at 1% in the same time frame (from paying minimums) so a big thanks to little miss for sorting this out!!

    Hi all!!

You are all so amazing at saving money/paying off debts! I'm definitely impressed! :T

So I was wondering could I join the club?! Please :).

I've just managed to pay off a debt to my dad (which he didn't really ask for but I don't like feeling like I'm sponging off him!), so my next target is to save towards a house and a wedding! I've worked out I'll need around £7000 so my 1% is £70. So far I have a whole 0.6% :rotfl: but it's a start :). I have my list of things for the ebay free listings and my first ever car boot sale hopefully next week :).

Congrat's on everyone's amazing efforts so far, every penny really does make a difference!

    Much love xo

Morning all! Been up early hunting out ebay items. Thought I would pay a visit to the shed i.e, the dump everything that we cant find a place for place! BIGGGGGGGGGGGGGG MISTAKE!

Something is clearly decomposing in there!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So do I, pretend I did not smell it and hope I don't find it!

Or, act dumb and get Husband to investigate the weird smell ( knowing full well he has a weak stomach for anything mildy gory and likely to puke)

Or, put on rubber gloves and go rooting!!!!!

Think I will try the roof space instead now!
