4 things listed on eBay today, that's it for me. Hate this time of year as I am much more happy and productive when the sun is out :o I'm trying! Roll on tomorrow x

No %'s to report this week, however I have just changed my car insurance and made a big saving £177 on my renewal price (no surprise there as renewal always bumped up), but I want to point out to people one way I managed to get £45 knocked off my renewal.

I always state that my car is parked overnight in a locked garage, which is a slight white lie, as although I do have a garage, I rarely park in there. I thought I'd be a bit more honest and see what the renewal price was when I said I parked on the drive, to my surprise it went down by £28, so then I tried saying I parked on the road and it dropped another £17! :D

I had heard of this a few years ago, but tried back then and it put up the price, statistics are obviously showing now that it is harder for thieves to steal the car keys from a house if they don't know which house to go to, hence parking on road cheaper than on driveway!

Anyone else up for renewal try this, the firm by the way was Swift Cover.

    afternoon,

Got my money off the friend i sold something to. was £52 but she gave me £50, and a further £2 next week. Going to give the £50 straight to my Mum so i dont spend it. The rest of my earnings are sat in my PP account. Hoping the kids go to sleep early tonight so i can list all my 99p items today and photograph all my other items ready to list this weekend for free listings.

    Hi everybody,

I'm going to bow out of this challenge as I'm not really contributing.

When I joined I missed the point about it being make an additional 80.00 and I just focused on the percentage part so I'm going to keep that idea and still colour my 100 squares when I make a debt repayment.

Thanks for letting me stop by for a while, and good wishes to you all for the year ahead.

It's not £80 for everyone, just your debt divided by 100 and work with that ;)

  • Hi Everyone

Thank god it's Friday! What a week!

So....my car has only just been picked up from the yard it was towed too on Monday. I'm frustrated as I've had to hire a car for the last four days (not covered by my insurance) and I still don't know whether the car can be fixed or is a write off :(

Then to make things worse, I came home to find a letter from Churchill saying the driver of the other car has put in a personal injury claim. The people in the other car weren't injured. They said so to both the highways agency and the ambulance. This coupled with the fact they behaved oddly at the scene of the crash (they didn't speak to me at all, they sat in their car) just makes me feel well and truly stitched up, especially as they never explained why they slammed on their brakes. Not only that the police didn't even ask me any questions about the crash, I've just been given an incident number. It really does make me wonder about some people's moral compass :/

Now feeling a little sad and deflated. Need my positivity back! Please can someone find it and post it back to me!!

Elmly - it's today and tomorrow!

  • Hey all,

Just popping on for a quick catchup. I'm working from home on my contract doing some SEO work that is driving me bananas. I don't let myself pop online while I'm working as I know I'd get too carried away!

Nikkei - Hope you're recovering well, you did well to avoid serious injury. The other driver sounds best avoided. Remember insurance is there for a reason, metal can be fixed, insurance premiums will bounce back - as long as you're ok that's what counts!

Well done to everyone with new percents in this tricky month! I might be able to get 1 or 2 if I try really hard.

Abundant - The desire to be debt free hits us all in different ways. It's often easy to want to skip straight to the big win, it's a trap dressed up in the tempting disguise of 'progress' or a shortcut.

17 steps forward is still amazing. It's up to us which direction we point ourselves for the majority of the time.

I hope that you get some support from the folks that have lived this too. I'll be sure to catch up on your diary.

Thought as much ;) I will tell my 2 fully fledged teacher friends though!

Nikkei, how awful. I'd mention in any correspondence re the injury claim (as you should get some) you mention that they said they weren't injured and hope for the best, but like little miss said, looking at it from the point f view thst you are unscathed and safe is the most important, sadly so many people die on the roads these days. :(

4 things listed on eBay already :T I have a load of stuff I want to get listed this weekend so shall see how that goes! Off to te hair dressers today, that's £25 but it's my only luxury and I wanted it done before Xmas but resisted. Then I'm at a kids party 2-4 with the older 2. First time I'm leaving the husband with evelyn for more than a pop to the shops in the day! I'm sure they'll be fine, if not he can drive them both up to the party :rotfl:

Ok it's 6am was up to feed baby but she is asleep again so I think I'll join her. Constantly thinking of moneysaving me lol first thing I did was read up on this thread lol.
