    Well done all.

Great idea about checking the front page for more ideas Little Miss Uni-Debt.

I struggle between payments as it all goes so slowly. I can't make another payment until the 14th. Seems like a long way away at the moment.

I have about £300 of Ebay items ending tonight, but will leave them in the bank account to make a dent in the Overdraft.

got to somehow balance paying off debts and also killing the Overdraft, its a tricky balancing act. Can't wait untl the Od is paid off, so I can do the payment a day challenge. Can't justify doing that when I am heavily in my OD.

Hope you are all surviving Monday xx

Stressed Steph, im sure you can if you feel it will help you :)

I dont do the squares i just keep a tally in my head lol

Paid my Ebay fees today so thats one thing out of the way.

Going to carpet clean my living room before i go out so when i get back it will be lovely and clean and ill get all the stuff out that i have to sell (3 big bags full)and photograph it all ready for FB or Ebay :)

Might pop into town to return a broken toy. We've only had it 3 weeks. If they give us a credit note ill get DS something smaller (it was a birthday present off a friend) and then use the rest to buy something for a birthday up and coming in the sale :)

Im sorted for all January Birthdays and written a detailed list of birthday cards i need for the year, will be getting those this month. Hoping to buy Xmas wrap and birthday wrap too this month then get cracking with presents for kids and close family/friends for Feb, March and April. Cant do for the whole year so doing it in quarters :)

Ive 2 MOTs and 2 car taxes to pay in March which will be a minimum of £90 + £170  £260 thats if they both pass, i think the newer one will but the older one im not so sure :s Need to find out the exact dates for the MOT's so i can book them in advance and be organised!!

No more sales since last night and no more bids but im keeping optimistic!

  • Hi Everyone,

So good to see that everyone has gotten off to a good start in 2013!! I was hoping 2013 was going to be a good year for us, but I've not gotten off to a good start at all :( I had a car crash on the motorway this morning and think it be a write off, the car in front of me broke hard and even though I broke hard as well, I went into the back of it. My chest is all bruised and I hit my head and face, but all involved are ok, I was given the all clear from the hospital. Feeling quite lucky that everyone is ok! My other half is away on a training week so I'm at my parents in law trying to figure out this whole insurance thing! I'm praying my excess is low but I won't know until other half calls and tells me the details of the insurance. He doesn't know what's happened yet! So hopefully if the excess isn't to horrendous we might be able to get through this month with a small percent paid off or atleast no more debt!! Only the end of the month will tell!

Good heavens Nikki, you poor thing. Hope the whiplash etc isn't too bad.
If the crash prooves to not be your fault, you may have a claim for damages?.

Good luck with the excess. xxx
  • Thanks StressedSteph,

Unfortunately, even though he slammed his brakes on, I'm at fault as I went into the back of him :( Feeling a little stressed as still can't reach other half and have no idea of who insures us etc and until I can sort out a hire car I'm stuck for getting to work! Nightmare!!!

Oh No! Not a good start to the New Year at all. Glad to hear you are okay, if a little bruised. Can you take some time off work until you are completely okay? I was thinking it would take the pressure off having no transport for the time being until your OH can get back and help you sort it out. Thankfully no-one was seriously injured.

Oh how scary, so glad you are ok nikkei. Hope you get hold of your oh to sort the insurance out. Gentle hugs.

Listed 4 more things on eBay today. Had a couple more bids on bits since this afternoon which is nice. Never got my carpet cleaned and pictures took, had a very very clingy 2 year old and then the 2 girls too so didn't get much done :s

Returned a broken toy for £15 gift voucher at ELC pleased with that. Got a 99p voucher for my local sainsburys and a £12 off a £60 shop with mr T that expires 5th feb so will come in handy.

Feeling quite positive ATM :) a bit of hard work will go along way!

  • Thanks Liz-Paul and TrulyMadlyDeeply-InDebt. Finally got the details from my other half and have spoken to my insurer. The excess is £150 so tbh I feel kinda lucky as it could have been much more. I'm trying not to think of the impact it will have on my insurance premium when it's renewed next month, but there's nothing can be done about that! Just wish my giant of a man was here to wrap me in a bear hug and make me feel better! My insurance doesn't include a hire car while they decide what the situation is with my car, so I'm going to be off work tomorrow but will try and login to work from home if I can set it up on my MAC, I then need to sort out a hire car for Wednesday as I can't afford to take time off and tbh I don't really want to (sad but true I love my job and team)

Anyway, as of tomorrow I'm declaring this is going to be my year!!!!!!!

    Sorry for rambling guys!!!
