HI everyone (and a big hello to all the newbies) -its great so many people are joining and inspiring everyone - thankyou xx :T
Littlemiss I love you (in an entirely plutonic sort of way) - your christmas suggestion is lovely - this thread really is like being among friends - I think my two very excited kids and an even more excited hubby will be keeping me busy of the festive period but I may be popping back on occassionally just for an extra helping of festive spirit and good cheer!)
Thought I better give another update (I still have two more craft fairs booked before christmas  so hopefully will be able to add a little bit more to the 2012 total before the end of the year).
But for now I thought I will declare the £171 I have just transferred over to the savings account. This amount is made almost entirely from craft fair sales (apart from £5 reward from bank account).
So:-
Member 17 = 75% :j:j:j
That leaves me with just £500 to raise before the middle of March - as I've contributed £4500 to the savings this month (and my original target was £3k) I would say that thanks to this thread that is totally do-able. £5k would mean that I have paid half towards our Florida trip of a lifetime - not bad for a stay at home mum me thinks (even if I do say so myself!!)
I still have to see what is in the bank accounts at the end of the month and transfer this to the savings - so fingers crossed, I may even be closer to the target amount by the end of the year.

I don't want to worry you, but Florida isn't a trip of a lifetime. I went last year...then again this year....now I'm saving for next year. Honestly, it is ADDICTIVE!I like to make money
Best wins: £3,000 luxury holiday, holiday in Cornwall, £250 Murad Skincare hamper, angle grinder
:j Make £10 a day challenger - it pays for trips to Florida! :j

We have been before pre-kids but this is the first time the kids have been so you are probably right, I had better rephrase to say trip of 2013!!!

& here comes another Lurker!
there must be loads of us.
I need to initially pay a credit card - which is £7500 so my 1% is £75.00
I would love to join this thread - have been subscribed for a couple of months and feel like I know you all!
Really want to get up and running with paying off the card as quickly as possible in the New Year. I hate that Virgin card!!!!
Very excited!!!!0 -
:hello:Hi to all the new now non-lurkers, welcome to the best thread on MSE. Enjoy the challenge.
Super addictive - every day I'm trying to work out whether I can pay off another 1/2 per cent or more! Have managed 15% since joining about 2 months ago - which for me is £1350 - brilliant, most has been through ebay sales (just shows how much "stuff" we had!!!) but also through making my money work harder and generating extra income. It's looking likely that I'll manage to clear a 0% cc before the 0% ends (mid-April) - the first time I won't be shuffling for about 7 years! Hoping to declare at least another 5% before the Christmas Eve cut-off. Fingers crossed.Total money owed: [STRIKE]31/07/11- £17,877[/STRIKE], LBM - 14/10/12 :j, 01/06/13 - £0 DEBT FREE!!!!
New challenge- save an extra £5000 from non-salary -£1600 (32%)0 -
Hi everyone I would like to join in as well. Have been following you all and am amazed how you are all doing.
I have about £14000 of debt which is a credit card and an overdraft, we both work and earn enough to overpay these but unfortunately I work for my self and won't earn any over Xmas so can not pay any extra until January. I am going to use the time of to go through all our finances and try to find ways to fine tune the budgets to increase what we can pay of . Also will try and sell things on eBay (I hate it but will give it another go)
I also thought about making things to sell, not sure if this will work out.
Any way this will do for now my aim is to become debt free in 2013 not sure if it's doable but you have to aim somewhere.
take care xxYou can if you think you can .0 -
Yes hellooooooo  , welcome to the thread.
No more %'s for me to declare - never did get signed up to ebay.
Have another 2% coming in tomorrow from cleaning and babysitting though. Last day of the mammoth cycling trips (well mammoth to me as im going up those bl**dy hills)
Still another 2% to find by next Thursday to hit my target. I think the fb selling pages might be the place.
From Monday i start my new job and i forgot to ask payroll if ill be getting paid for that little bit in December's pay or in January's. I will be working 7 days a week though1% at a time challenge member #127

Hello all!!!
Dont think im going to have any more % to add before Xmas as TBH quite skint so just focusing on getting by!!
No43
Debt 1 15.3% (£994.50/£6500)
Debt 2 100% (£700/£700)
Debt 3 52.3% (£1100/£2100)
Total paid off since joining this thread £2794.50/£9300
:j WOW seeing that all added up (if ive done it right LOL) is really motivating! WE would have managed maybe 25% of that or less without this thread, so Thank you Little miss uni debt!! :T
Got some more things listed on Ebay, this is the last lot before Xmas. Alot will go to the charity if it doesnt sell as sick of the sight of it and i have some other ideas in the pipeline for next year, mainly focusing on saving our hard earned and planning the year better (Birthdays and Xmas being main here).
Ive been trying to be good this week in the way of spending and eating. Only been to costa once in 2 weeks (that is amazing for me, usually 3 times a week!), my gran paid and i only got a latte, no cakeFinished Xmas shopping but returning a £4 item tomorrow when im passing. Soft play this morning i usually get a coffee and a cake or lunch for the 3 of us. I got a pack of magic stars chocs for the kids to share when their friend was lunching and i brought my own coffee in a flask, and bought nothing for myself!! Came home and had bacon and cheese melted wraps. nomnomnom :T And to top it off got on the scales today, having lost 3lbs :T
