Just been accepted with a £500 limit.
Quite suprised as I'm a long term Stoozer and have four 0% cards on the go at the moment.
My plan is to use it just enough to get the full £100 cashback. Then I'll be going back to my Tesco card for the clubcard points0 -
Same here! Despite having a few cards for different perks applied and got accepted
.
Looking forward to the 3% cashback, let's hope they keep it running for a while.0 -
I have to ask exactly where the reward card is aiming, I assume it's slightly above the sub-prime market with the high APR attempting to recover the cashback paid. I'm interested as to whether I should apply as all of the other Aqua cards are useless for me as I currently have a Capital One Secured Card.
I've been paying it for the last 5 months in full and it's showing on my Noddle credit report, I will get my Equifax report if I plan to apply but I'm wondering if there is a point in me applying for the rewards card? It will certainly be better as I'm paying it off in full to build my credit and the ability to gain cashback at the same time will be beneficial.0 -
Well I got my card today, and it's exactly the same design as the "classic" card!0

I applied earlier today and was accepted with an estimated limit of £1600.
Very happy with that as I was half expecting a rejection!
I currently use Halifax Clarity (£5 reward) and Cap1 (1% cashback) for my day-to-day spending. Just closed a Tesco card 2 weeks ago after a year of stoozing, and still have an M&S card which I'm stoozing on.
My plan is to spend as follows:
- First £300 every month on Clarity
- Remainder on Aqua, up to £1500, until I reach £3333ish in total
- Once aqua cashback is maxed, switch back to Cap1 for remainder
I'll easily spend the required £7k over the year to max the clarity and aqua, but there is the very rare occurrence when I only spend just over £300 in a month, which is why I'll still lead with the Clarity each month.0 -

Got my card through. Activated it via the number on the card -but couldn't add it to my PayPal. Phoned again after a couple of days and it had never been activated (and the agent knew I'd already called).
Very poor that but very helpful and apologetic for the error.0 -
I will wait and see if they follow through with the limit increase they have written to me with on my existing card (after rejecting me for the new card) and report back when/if it happens.
Just to update as promised................
I was refused the new reducing interest rate card from Aqua, the next day I received a limit increase letter for my existing Aqua card. The limit I understood was to take place around the 19th July.
I contacted them yesterday via email to ask about foreign transaction fees, I also asked if the credit limit increase would be happening later this month.
I received a reply last night and they confirmed that the increase was taking place with immediate effect. I checked online and it had been done.:T.
So another atrange one, where you don't meet the criteria for the reducing rate card but you do meet the criteria for a limit increase on your existing card.
Will we ever be able to work these credit card companies out:p0 -

I had the same thing Simon, rejected for the new card but then received a credit limit increase of my existing card from £500 to £1500:eek:
Very strange!!0 -
Just been accepted with a £500 limit. Not bad given I have 4 cards currently but only £300 on debt.
Going to be shutting down one of them because I don't need that much unused credit.0
