What's your credit history and income like, .

No bad debts, 3 other cards (all clear) and I told them self-employed at 15k PA. I'm not and it isn't but it's easier to copy/paste :D

Got my agreement (looked liked something from ToysRUS) this morning and will get it sent off Monday (they included a [not very] poste-haste pre-paid envelope with 2nd class on it).

Nope, never got an increase. And now I've got a rate reducing card with the same limit, the Granite can go on the shelf as far as I'm concerned :D

that was exactly my plan... don't think Aqua like me though lol :p

Partner received credit agreeement today - initially it was referred with decision in 10 days. I applied for myself and immediate declined - Possible I have too much available credit so they do dont want to take me on. MS

I'm really surprised my application has been referred for 10 days...i'm wondering why tbh.

I've never had problems with credit.

Quite looking forward to this card!

Last time I had cashback was a RBS-Advanta Gold Card? Anyone remember those? I think I had a £25,0000 limit on it in the end.

Now my cards range are £250 (this new one) to £500 and £2,000.

I'm safe as long as I only play with these limits and sponges :D

Very strange although could be down to recent credit searches maybe? I've never missed a payment and the credit card i have i pay in full each month and get points (Natwest), limit of £1900 so 10% of my income. The only other credit i have is a mortgage. Oh and a current account with overdraft but i never use the overdraft.

Will have to wait and see.

Just double checked some of my info because I tend to keep everything on file (sad I know). When I originally applied for Aqua the cards were issued by BOS (Halifax Card Services) and the search was carried out through CALLCREDIT. Now (presumably since it went to Progressive Credit) the search was done through Experian.
On CC my file shows clean, whereas on Experian I am still showing 1 default that is 4 1/2 years old. I wonder if that is the reason they have declined me now.
I just assumed it would be done through CC the same as last year when they accepted me.
Oh well don't suppose I will ever know for definate but if my scenario helps someone else in the same position then its all good.

I have the orginal Aqua Card (via HBOS) and yes the sesarch was through CallCredit.

Applied for the Reward card (which as all Aqua Cards is now Progressive Credit) got the 10 days decision. A dear john subsequently arrived yesterday. It stated that based on the information supplied, they believe the current facility I have with them is sufficient and therefore they are unable to provide me with an additional card. They referred me to Experian only for details.
