Good to see people following up with what's happened with their applications, this thread should prove quite useful for others to follow if they are thinking of applying.

Very interesting in what they have done with your app rejection Premiere. It will be interesting to see if they follow this line with other existing card holders. Annoyingly they go ahead and credit search you though and then refuse you based on the "you have enough credit available on your other card with us" reason. Wouldn't you think they could have something built in to the application for existing customers, so it doesn't result in a pointless credit search on your file? Or is that too much to expect!

I will wait and see if they follow through with the limit increase they have written to me with on my existing card (after rejecting me for the new card) and report back when/if it happens.

I think that the callcredit searches have allowed more people to be accepted over time and now they are using a more in depth report to decide on applications, more people are getting refused. You would think that all 3 agencies were as thorough as each other with the information they hold and report but obviouly not.

Just applied. Current cardholder, got the 10 days decision....

I also got the "will be in touch in 10 days" message and no final decision at the last screen. Hope I will get it!

Anyone else who got the same message, do let me know if you get yours!

Reading comments here I was bit sceptical if I would be accepted as I have a number of cards that together have a large credit limit but I always pay off in full. Neverthless, applied for the Aqua Cashback card and have got accepted with (estimated) £500 limit:beer:.
This means that I do not have to keep on juggling MBNA Amex Cashback card (1.5% on supermarket & petrol) and Cap1 Cashback (1% all spend) once I have maxed out £300 on Halifax Clarity CC (£5 per month).

I've got only accepted for £250 limit
Means will have to get in to a new habit of repaying credit card in full 2-3 times per month

Or as i suggested in other thread - keep to spending approx £200/month and get about £75 cashback instead of max possible £100 - guess it depends on how much extra effort you are willing to put in for the additional £25.
