I've seen a lot of posts on this thread where people have successfully got EJH to say they will fulfil the claim, but not so many people reporting back once they have returned from holiday.
Has anyone had problems getting EJH to actually follow through and pay the money into their account once they return from the trip?? How long afterwards did you have to wait? Did you have to get in touch with EJH to remind them?
I would love to take advantage of this loopyhole but I just keep thinking how easy it would be for EJH to ignore me when I get back from holiday and leave it up to me to pursue them for the money. I worry that an email from EJH before the holiday, especially if it's quite informal, doesn't give me much of a leg to stand on once I return.
Many thanks for your help.
Hi,
They automatically refunded £1146 to my credit card within a week of my return from the 3 night 4* hotel stay in Edinburgh. (EJH price was £1146, Superbreak's £450, Hotelconnect.co.uk price was £353 - which obviously meant that I got a full refund).
I had a phone call from Spain (Hotelopia's office) confirming that my claim was accepted, they were very good at phoning me back on both my landline and mobile number.
I am going up to Scotland again next Monday (Inverness) and will get a full refund apart from 30p!
It is usually a lot to shell out but they have stood by their promise with me.
I could not have afforded to go away at all without A) this forumthe helpful people on it :T C) EasyJetHotels oh...... and D) my Egg Credit Card!!
I thought it WOULD be ok though as I had previous experience of price match hotel websites. (LondonTown.com & DaysInn.com)
Happy searching and travelling!! :rotfl:

How long does it usually take for them to confirm the claim is valid? I submitted my claim Mon 18 March in the evening and still haven't heard from them. I got an initial acknowledgement email in French and that's it. Their T&C state 3 working days
I have just emailed them again to chase up a response, but wondered what other people have experienced time wise?Quidco ~ £3,718 | Greasypalm ~ £354 | Freefivers ~ £45 | Pigsback ~ £260 shopping vouchers + 15 CDs
Total cashback / freebies / money-saving: 2006 ~ £3,961 | 2007 ~ 3,610 | 2008 ~ £4,159 | 2009 ~ £1,449

if anyone is thinking of going to Milan - please do not bother. I have returned from a weekend of filth and crime and never again will i bother.
If anyone has booked, may I recommend Lake Como on the train. 1st class was £11 return and it took 40 minutes.
If it looks like rain, please take a brolly because if one Nigerian offered me an umbrella, the rest of the Far East did as well. An ordeal, and the central station really is a place to avoid at all costs.0 -

Just a quick slightly off topic question. I will be refunded in August but whats going to happen when I get money refunded onto the credit card? Im sure Ive heard in the past that a credit card cant be in credit. Will I have to try spend all the money or can I just do a weekly shop on it till the money is used up?0
