FYI ... Refund arrived in bank today and I didn't need to return plants
  • I received my plants on Thursday and to be honest, I'm perfectly happy with them. There's a good mixture, they were well packed, and I got an email telling me they were coming. Maybe they've listened to the complaints and improved what they're offering. I would certainly order from them again.

I had the same horrible problem! The delivery was 3 weeks after I originally ordered. They were advertsed on here as a fathers day gift and didnt arrive until today!

I am "trying" to get a response via Facebook but they just said we'll "investigate" it"!

See their facebook page I wont be letting this lie!!

I e-mailed Deborah, as she suggested, and she passed my complaint onto VM. I got a quick reply asking for my full address etc. and received a full refund a couple of days later.
A follow up letter was received from VM apologising for the state of the plants blaming the " post office".

    Thanks Deborah.
  • Just to update, when I asked for a refund originally, all I got was:

    "Thank you for your email.

The Bumper plant collection will be supplied with a minimum of 40 plants worth £100.00 this will include super patio and hanging basket plants.

The Basket and Bedding collections have been labelled incorrectly at the packing stage and apologise .

You have received the correct items.

If we can be of any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Kind Regards

    Miranda"

IT was only when I said this:

"I have 380,000 followers on Twitter and I am connected in some high up places. The fact you have completely ripped me off and will not refund means I am going to publicise this to all of them and HIGH up!"

That suddenly they'd changed their tune funnily enough! And I got this:

    "Thank you for your email.

We can confirm a refund has been issued and you will receive a letter to confirm this shortly.

We apologise for any disappointment and inconvenience caused.

    Kind Regards

    Miranda"

Funny that isn't it! Same person, completely different response.

Most annoyingly though I'd already sent the plants back to try to demand a refund and strengthen my case and that cost me a thirs of what I originally paid!

    NEVER AGAIN Van Meuseless!!

I'd ordered from T&M a couple of times before via various promotions and although not overwhelmed with the value of the plants for the "special offers" they have been OK and if planted on promptly, I don't recall any have died, and most have grown quite quickly to a good size. Agreed I doubt they are worth the "full" price. Ideally need to be in when delivered or collect promptly from Post office though.

I had another offer recently (not this one in thread) with a special code - "72 Perennial plant offer for £20 (rrp £71) plus postage". (T&M) Link took me to a subsite specifically for that offer. They were plants we were after, so I'd added to the basket and was about to order when I spotted a small link to "see our complete index of other offers".

triplew plantoffers dot com slash az.html

Looking through I found quite a few offers of "free" plant collection - pay only postage. Interestingly I managed to find a combination of free offers which made up an equivalent set of plants to the "72 for £20 + postage" but paying only postage for these - a lot cheaper. In all I ordered 5 different "free" offers just costing postage. Hence removed original offer from basket.

Ok the postage came to £28, but that was for 84 plants (plugs), a lemon tree and a magnolia. The original offer I'd have had to pay £20 + £5 (approx) postage, for 72 perennial plug plants. Just had email that the first are being shipped. (just over a week from order date).

Hence might be worth looking at these "free + postage" offers there if looking for plants.

And no, I'm nothing to do with T&M - I work in the computer games industry.:D

Got mine a week ago through the post.
Forty plug plants of different varieties.
Pretty sorry state to be honest, bought new pots for them all and carefully planted them as instructed, left them indoors on window ledge to settle.
At least 50% look like they have had it.
My first foray into the plant world and probably my last.

Well I am going to buck the trend and state I am quite happy now with my plants, only problem I have is that I dont know what half of them are! This is mainly due to me removing the labels whilst in a big hurry to plant them. Of the forty I received over thirty are now in full bloom, the only ones I recognise are geraniums. I am not sure either if they are border/trailing or something else, so am not sure if I have planted them the right way. However this is all part of the fun and its a bit trial and error, am amazed how much some have grown since the weedy things turned up on my door.
Only problem I have is that as I dont know what they are, I also dont know how they should be treated come the winter months. I also dont know if they should be well watered and have plenty of sun etc.
    Oh well.
I have though really enjoyed watching them all grow.
    £14.95 was well worth it.
You lot should stop ya moaning.

PS I have Fuscias as well.
