Surely looking at the previous posts you can see that we have" issues". No way were these plants worth £100, even if they had been in first class condition.
The plants were not as ordered, they were all trailing basket plants, mine were in a knocked about state, even after leaving them for 48Hours, watered,and sheltered in my greenhouse, lots of them were still in a poor condition, and are not fit to be planted out in the garden. In fact i have had to throw quite a few away.
I rang VM customer services and told them to remove me from their mailing and e-mail lists as i would never order from them again.

I emailled VM, with no reply so have phoned, got a full refund, without returning 'plants'. Was offered replacements next April, but decided i would rather have my money back. I would recommend phoning, oh and at least 3 of them have died in the past couple of days.

In follow up to my previous post, I have received the second lot of plants today and they were in the same sorry state as the first so I contacted them again and they have issued me a second refund, although I think having to wait 10 working days for the refund to clear in my bank isn't acceptable, BACS takes 2 hours in most cases, 24 hours at worst.

But come on everyone, who on earth would really be selling £100 worth of anything for £10 plus postage?

It's quite another matter if what is supplied isn't what was on offer (i.e. not bedding plants) but we're supposed to be a bit savvy on here and not believe all the advertising hype. No-one gives away something worth £100 for £10.

The plants are described as being excess stock so it isn't unreasonable to believe that they were originally valued at £100, considering that they aren't something you can pop in the back of the warehouse and sell the following year I don't think we had any reason to doubt a reputable company selling them at this price, have you personally had any dealings with this company?, or are you just on this thread to mock?

I recieved my Sizzling Summer deal plants today and they were all hanging basket plants as well. I telephoned Van Meuwen and was told the same as everyone else - that the plants could be bedded out. The only plants I agreed would be suitable were the 5 Dalia plugs. She said the advert was for 40 summer flowering plants and that they would be a mixture of types and I had to point out that what I had recieved could not be described as that. She seemed unaware any other customers were unhappy with what they have ordered and I have suggestd she reads the feed back on MSE.
I was told her manager ws going to look at the advert again to decide if it could have been misleading and will get beck to me if they intend to do anything to redress the situation.
I will not hold my breath!
The bottom line is that I will not use them again or recommend anyone else to do so.

Well they shouldn't advertise it as £100's worth then should they?

I'm still waiting for mine. I knew it was going to be like this, but my OH really wanted them, so I went along with it.
