Vida or Cynergy 1yr fix ISA, any thoughts?

I'm drawn towards Vida because they allow withdrawals with 90 days loss of interest.
Cynergy make you close the account with 180 days loss.

Does anyone know if Vida are on the electronic transfer list?
They are, I moved 2 ISAs to them in the last month, one easy access that was done in a couple of days and another which they waited for the move due to being a future fixed term maturity date.

Just transferring to Vida 1 Yr fix from Coventry BS easy access. Application was simple.  Not sure how fast they are bug am sure Vida are on electronic transfer list. They are certainly on Cynergy Banks list

Well without telling the exact date , my birthday is very early April, before the tax year changes,  if I have got it right , I am saying I will be 64 in  early April 2027 so would have to wait a year til April 2028 to get the full 20k back.
It's notable that 65 for many like me, won't be my retirement age to get my pension.
I think it's likely that the £12K to £20K uplift at 65 will be assessed at the point of subscription rather than you having to wait until the next tax year. So if you turn 65 mid-tax year, you're limited to £12K until your 65th Birthday, at which point you can add an additional £8K.
Para 4.228 of the 2025 Budget Report says "Savers over the age of 65 will continue to be able to save up to £20,000 in a cash ISA each year."
So when you turn 65, the £20K allowance applies to you, which implies there has to be a way to allow you to make additional subscriptions beyond the £12K that used to apply to you.

Yes this is my take on it too, looks like DH will be fine, anyone 62 before this tax year will be, just wait until your birthday and bung in the other 8K

Vidas fix just dropped all the way down to 3.95%, putting it below even the high street banks. 😬

This looks decent at 4.66% variable and flexible.

I've never been a great fan of the "unknown" banks.
Looking at what's left at the moment on a one year fixed ISA, having already money with Charter, I'll probably go with NatWest at 4.2%.

I believe if you leave them before the end of the 12 month period you don't get the bonus rate, so just get a lower rate.  This is OK if it stays competitive, but if the rate drops and you want to move elsewhere, you'll only get 3.86% AER

As well as the bonus drawback already mentioned, your money is held in the form of a QMMF (split across multiple banks) and, while they are FSCS-protected, anyone looking at this account would want to read up on QMMFs so you know exactly where you stand.

Just like Trading212 and the like, this is presumably just a loss-leader rate, designed to get you onto their online trading platform (and keep you there for a year !)

Does anyone know what happens if you transfer from a notice account to a fix? Does the rate get locked at the time of application and start at the time of transfer, or can the rate go down during the notice period?
