    CMC reducing rate email

We’re lowering your rate to 5.44% AER* (variable) in 10 business days

On 8 May 2025, the Bank of England reduced its base rate to 4.25%. As our Cash ISA savings rate is tied to the Bank of England base rate, we’re adjusting our standard savings rate.

Our Cash ISA standard rate will change from 4.85% AER* (variable) to 4.59% AER* (variable) on 16 June 2025.

This means that from 16 June you’ll be earning 5.44% AER* (variable) – 4.59% + a fixed 0.85% bonus rate for 90 days (from the date you opened a Cash ISA with us).

Additionally, The CHIP ISA rate for new customers reduced from 4.99% to 4.82%

Transfer request from T212 to Chip went in on the 27th and completed today - can't say much fairer than that!

Sounds like I did well to get it at 4.99% too.

Had a pension pot through and trying to work out how to put £20000 from into cash isas. Need to maintain penalty free access to some of it. I already have ISAs as follows, t212 4.1% flexible then non flexible: Plum 4.68% moneybox 4.8 and tembo 4.8. I was thinking of opening the Vida flexible one, possibly both the easy and defined access and splitting the 20000 between these 2 and the existing Moneybox one. Any constructive thoughts /advice appreciated, I know there's a lot of knowledge and experience on here.

Is T212 not flexible now? I missed that change

T212 is still flexible, the above post is just not very clearly articulated.

Sorry if it was unclear, I put the flexible one first then listed all the non flexible ones together so that I only had to type "non flexible" once!

Re the Vida savings ISA, do they have any way to enforce their demand that you transfer any ISA with another provider to them in full as a condition of opening?

Of course not. Do they really demand their customers must use them exclusively for all ISA savings?
