Can’t seem to deposit using debit card either (which you can with the S&S one up to £2k), they either want to open banking or want your account and sort code

You cannot transfer from a Trading 212 S&S ISA to their cash ISA. They don’t allow internal transfers, only external ones are allowed in or out.

Edit, This information is incorrect as per the below posts.

Not true I think. Go to "Manage funds" then the "move funds" option. I managed to move £1k and I assume this counts as a "transfer".

Thank you for your help. I was given that duff information from their chat bot. I have now managed to transfer some money from the S&S ISA to the cash ISA

Have you checked your remaining ISA allowance as shown in the Trading 212 app or website?

Some people on the Trading 212 community forum have reported that moving funds this way appears to have been treated as new funds and not an ISA transfer but as yet it is not clear which is correct.

According to the app the amount of the "Current tax-year ISA allowance" used is £5k , exactly what it was before I moved the money.

Maybe they're treating it is as a "portfolio ISA". Is that allowed for such a mixture of ISAs?

I moved £5k from the S&S ISA to the cash ISA. Used allowance shows £5k on both the S&S ISA snd the cash ISA with £15k remaining allowance slowing on both i don't know if they are combining the 2 or treating them as seperate ISA’s

I moved £1k out of the £5k in the S&S ISA to the Cash ISA, so I now have £4k in one and £1k in the other. Both now say £5k of the allowance used which only makes sense if they're adding the two.

With interest rates being talked down I wondered what sort of length of time are people fixing isa’s at ?

I’ve got a Coventry 5% + instant access but not sure what sort of length of fix to move it to

jase.2 - it's a hard one to answer. If you definitely don't need access to the money (without penalty), then 5 years is probably going to be the best option as rates fall. Personally, that's too long for me, for the returns on offer. But who knows what will happen, how low base rates will go - none of us!
