Cash ISAs: The Best Currently Available List

I made a £1 deposit just after 9 last night and nothing showing this morning. I know it was outside banking hours, so will wait to see if it appears later today. Cheers.refluxer said:
I've made a test deposit of £1 into a Shawbrook cash ISA in the past - it took a couple of hours to show in the account and I received a confirmation text message that it had arrived.bioboybill said:I decided to put £1K into the Shawbrook Fixed 2 year ISA as suggested by a few in this thread to take advantage of topping up later if rates fall in the next year. On their site it tells you that you deposit by bank transfer from a nominated account, but because they aren't part of the service that checks accounts match they suggest depositing £1 first time to put your mind at rest. I did that, but I'm wondering whether it will work since the minimum deposit is supposed to be £1K. Had anybody else successfully deposited a small amount?0 -
£1 deposit now received and a further £999 deposited just now. Thanks again to the people who highlighted the Shawbrook 2 year fix. Happy Days!0

Applying for the Shawbrook 2yr fix. Application requires a password to be set up but I can't paste from my password manager (nor anywhere else) into the new password field.
Just me? Try another browser other than Chrome?
This is a deal-breaker, I'm not setting up an account that requires me to copy 20 characters 1 by 1 between two screens (twice) (and again on each login?).0 -
I've checked the docs, but cannot find the answer to this, and I'd like to summarise the differences between the two fixed rates providers who may allow top-ups.
How long after opening can you leave adding the £3k minimum to the Lloyds ISA, or the £1k for the Shawbrook ISA?
Is there any reason to choose the lower Lloyds rate over Shawbrook, other than the various scraps of T&Cs for Shawbrook being more equivocal about whether you can definitely fund it later after it become a closed issue?
And neither provider supports splitting the ISA allowance with other providers, from a summary I've read here: https://moneyweek.com/personal-finance/savings/isas/multiple-isa-rule-how-it-works ?0 -
That's Moneyweek's conclusion (that a provider's Terms can preclude you from having a Cash ISA with another provider). Don't think that's the conclusion of the majority of the contributors here.gwapenut said:

Just tried it on Chrome using window11 and cut and paste is working for me (always has done). By the way if you are using KeePass password manager you can also drag and drop the password.flaneurs_lobster said:Applying for the Shawbrook 2yr fix. Contrary to the impression given by this article, Coventry BS appear to accept that a customer can now subscribe each year to a cash ISA with multiple providers - https://www.coventrybuildingsociety.co.uk/member/isa-changes.html (What does this mean for you? - second bullet point).flaneurs_lobster said:

In other words, Coventry BS seem to be adopting a different approach from eg Kent Reliance and Shawbrook whose ISA declarations contain a statement that the customer will not subscribe for a cash ISA with another provider in the same year.

Thanks for that. Edge didn't work either - odd error, cut'n'paste/autofill from Bitwarden works just fine on every other site.flobbalobbalob said:

Got it to work/application successful using Chrome on Android phone.0 -
I'm not aware of any provider that is supporting the holding of 2 (or more) Cash ISAs with themselves. I'm sure someone must have found one?RetSol said:
This is notwithstanding that Coventry BS has yet to implement the new ISA regime.flaneurs_lobster said:

How do you transfer a maturing Cash ISA from Charter Savings Bank to Lloyds without a specific account number & sort code?badger09 said:
YesSickGroove said:Going back to the Lloyds fixed 2 year cash ISA which you can continually add to during the term...
I have a 20K one year fix with charter, which expires in October this year....if by then the rate is below the 4.25%from Lloyds, can it then be transferred into the Lloyds one to get the current 4.25%?
Can you transfer other old ISAs in at any point during the term & if so how do you do it?
Cheers
As long you have already opened the Lloyds FRISA. They could of course withdraw it at any time.
I suggest you look at Lloyds Bank website or even google
I've looked on the Lloyds website, as the app directs you there if you only have a reference, but can't see Charter Savings Bank from the drop-down options
