 In the days of 1% interest rates, I made better money from tax-free compensation than from interest ...RetSol said:
 Glad that it's not just me.gwapenut said:I must say I found Zopa a bit frustrating this time last year when I had a query about a delayed money transfer. Perhaps I don't want to entrust them with my ISA. Transfers are fine when they go to plan, but about half of mine don't, and it's then that you need some half decent customer service.1

            Shawbrook dropped their 1yr fixed ISA from 5.03% to 4.80%
 (Probably their other ISAs went down too but I was monitoring this one as I was going to open it this week)0

 Same here, was thinking of opening ready for when the current one matures on 12 April.rallycurve said:Shawbrook dropped their 1yr fixed ISA from 5.03% to 4.80%

 Paragon have a 1yr fix ISA paying 5.05% and you have 30 days to transfer or fund even if it goes NLA.
 Looks like it`s goodbye Shawbrook!!!0

            @soulsaver
 Your last sentence is the thing that puts me off VM.
 I don't want to open an account to get an account.
 Same thing when Chase appeared on the scene.
 If " hoop jumping" is involved, I avoid.
 But thanks anyway.😀

 I'm glad I got in a few weeks ago. But disapointed as it doesn't look like my 2024/5 allowance will benefit from such good rates.rallycurve said:Shawbrook dropped their 1yr fixed ISA from 5.03% to 4.80%

 I was looking at Coventry's Four Access (Online) ISA at over 5% a few weeks ago but it went no longer available while I was thinking about it. The Four Access ISA still available at 4.55% paid annually (or 4.46% paid monthly) is I think the one that's available online or through branches (I'm nowhere near a branch) and I've opened one anyway.Aidanmc said:Emily_Joy said:Coventry BS four access ISA is down to 4.55%.
 When does this take effect from please?
 I don't know whether they've changed rates on the NLA account. I've also opened a Triple Access non ISA savings account (online version) at 5.03% (monthly) - that has gone NLA and there's a version at a lower rate available but I'm still getting 5.03% (though not on much money).0

 But I thought you could continue to add funds to an existing Shawbrook ISA.......TheBanker said:

            Just wondering if rates are starting to go down because of the lastest inflation number.
 BoE meet today but are highly unlikely to cut rates `til mid year at the earliest. (IMO)
