- Open a new one myself & initiate the transfer to the new account once the other transfer is complete. This will only work if the initial transfer completes within the 30 day funding window. Also will lose interest earned during transfer process by this method.
- Open a new one myself & call them to amend my transfer from Vanguard to the new ISA instead.
- Message through Online Banking and ask to transfer me to this new account keeping the same A/C number. I've already done this but i'm worried they may take a while and product could be withdrawn.
log in, down at the bottom go to add new account and during that it lets you transfer an existing virgin isa over and it will recognise your in cooling off and not charge you a fee.Last week I did this with a 4.41% account and moved back to easy access to wait another bit after the inflation news
not sure if 4.7% is the time to move it back to fixed or whether if I do move it whether I get another 14 days cooling off or not1 -

Can anyone recommend a Cash ISA that pays monthly interest that will beat Shawbrook at 3.49%? they seem to have slowed up raising rates and I want to transfer out...0

The best Easy Access Cash ISAs (without withdrawal restrictions) are Virgin (if you're already a member), Gatehouse*, Leeds and the Principality @ 3.75% but they all pay interest annually or on maturity.
The current best Easy Access Cash ISA which pays monthly interest looks to be Charter @ 3.65% AER which, at 3.59% gross monthly, is obviously only slightly higher than you're getting now. (£20 PA difference on a £20k ISA). It has a £5k minimum balance and isn't flexible.
* Edit - looks like Gatehouse do actually have a monthly interest easy access option @ 3.75% AER.1 -
