New Marcus cash ISA 1.3%, doesn't accept transfers and is not flexible. Includes a 12 month 0.25% bonus.
  • Now available paying 1.31% AER which makes it the highest rate in it's class.

It's a shame they only allow transfers from certain providers. I've got a few Principality ISAs I could do with transferring but they aren't on the list, as they still deal in paper forms and aren't part of the BACs (electronic) scheme for ISAs.

Just transfer via one of the providers they do allow. Double the effort I know, but less so if you consolidate them all - then it would be just one extra transfer form to fill in.

Once again, strings attached, you need a current account with them to get that rate.
    Otherwise it`s 1.7%

Thank you for this information. I've just opened the account with a nil balance.

I read that I have 30 days after the issue is closed to transfer any existing Isas to the account.

Also, it says that I have 14 days to transfer any previous Isas online. I'm not sure why they make the online transfer limit to the first 14 days.

This makes my previously opened Virgin exclusive Isa redundant.

My current flexible Isa is earning just 1.15% and I'm just opening fixed Isas with nil money in at the moment until I think I should transfer in.

It's hard to know when to "go for it"

I opened a Virgin ISA yesterday @ 1.76% and was really mad as I waited so long on the phone to talk to someone who could  transfer my old ISA across. It never happened as it was too close to closing.

Looks like I'm going to be collecting redundant ISAs too

Have you thought of splitting your old ISA and keeping some in reserve for any better rates?
It's been in my mind but can't work out if it would be any advantage.

I have wondered whether to do that. I also have some flexibly withdrawn isa money that I have put into Chase that will gain taxable interest if I leave it there too long.

I might wait the 13 days and transfer some of the money online. However I also nearly added to the 1.76 Isa recently.
