I managed to bag the 1.4 earlier today, was told all the rates will be dropping on TuesdayBe happy, it's the greatest wealth0 -
As from today, these ISAs are available only in branch or agency. They can no longer be opened online.
Had a couple of Principality ISAs maturing on the 9th - they wouldn't let me roll over into any of these offers online -insist that I had to visit a branch - so I'm moving out of Principality alltogether:(:(0 -
Same for me, phoned my local Notts BS branch at lunchtime, some kind person had cancelled their appointment this afternoon so staff could fit me in. Took 10 mins, most of which was chatting about house prices and the lovely weather!
I got the impression this new ISA has generated a lot of enquiries, so may not be available for long.
This was possibly the first time I have opened an ISA on the first day of the new tax year, but for that interest rate and large monthly pay in I was willing to drop everything and get to the branch asap, not an offer I wanted to miss!
I opened my account this morning. Very friendly staff and I got a coffee and a pen too!
They are apparently allowing up to one hour per appointment - so the most any staff member can do is generally 7 per day. I only needed about 20 minutes as a new customer - albeit much of that time was spent discussing other potential products - but I imagine it can very depending on the customer.
I can't see it being around for long as you say.0 -

It takes seven working days for chequers to clear but interest is paid from day 1.
I can't see it being around for long as you say given the rate.0 -
I'm looking to transfer a matured/upgraded Santander ISA to a flexible ISA somewhere, so I can withdraw and use the cash quite soon, but be able to repay it in if I am able to later.
Are there any providers that are particularly fast or slow at accepting transfers in? I already have a flexible ISA with Nationwide.0 -

I've just transferred to Coventry (online application and transfer in form) and it was the fastest transfer I've ever experienced.0 -

How can you have 2 ISAs ? I thought the limit was 1 per person.0 -

You can have as many cash ISAs as you want. The only restriction is that all deposits made in the current tax year must be held in the same ISA wrapper. Once the tax year has ended you can split them up to your heart's content.0
