    Help!
I am trying to open a Shawbrook cash ISA (3 years, 1.7%), transfering a soon to mature ISA from Nationwide. I have put in the sort code and account number that Nationwide uses for all its Cash ISAs. But the online form won't accept the account reference number. What should I do?

The account reference number alone will probably be what you need, but you may as well phone the number above to confirm.

If you have provided your NI number and don't have multiple ISAs at Nationwide, the account number shouldn't strictly be needed.

    Thanks badger09 and masonic.

I will call them tomorrow. Unfortunately, it won't let me just enter the reference/roll number alone but insists on the account number (33333334) as well. I bet it doesn't like the / in the roll number.

I have more than one cash ISA account with Nationwide so I do need to be able to enter the reference/roll number to ensure they transfer the right one. ;)

That is probably it, so it may be that you need to check with Nationwide whether they can recognise the account without it.

I seem to recall using roll numbers in the past that contained a '/' and a '-' and entering just the numeric digits.
