Just tried to arrange for a transfer to be told that it was withdrawn on Monday this week.

Bit annoying, though, as I had some funds which I was thinking of putting in The Coventry ISA. My own fault, though, as I had a feeling this "good" rate was not going to last.

Two of my Cash ISA's have/are maturing. I am so disappointed with the ISA's available.

I dabbled in ZOPA a few years ago for a few hundred to see what it is like. I am so tempted to stick a large amount that way for three years.

I don't know what else to do with it?

The more established P2Ps Zopa and Ratesetter arent yet regulated for ISAs. I moved my maturing cash ISA into a 2% fix, but I will put my new money into a P2P ISA when its available.

Read up on them now e.g. one of them divides your funds into numerous £10 loans, and the other could put the lot into one loan.....how do each of their contingency funds deal with large scale defaults where your loan is/isn't one of the defaulted loans.

Maybe stick a grand into each now and get used to them both before putting large ISA sums into either.

Was just checking out the Coventry Easy Access (3) - says you can't transfer in http://www.coventrybuildingsociety.co.uk/savings-accounts/cash-isa/variable-cash-isa.aspx (dunno if this is a (very) recent change).

Would seem to be an idea for at least some of it. If you're repeatedly using fixed term cash ISAs for the same money and have no immediate need then S&S ISA would make sense.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

I think we are in for a bit of a financial meltdown in the UK. Especially if the Tories lose the next election.

I'm not happy with a Stocks and Shares ISA.

It will be interesting if P2P can become part of the ISA wrapper. Will this happen?

It will happen eventually, but none of the big players can tell you when.

Just to say the list above doesn't include the Saga 3y fix at 1.8% that allows transfers in - for the over 50s!
