  • With the Nottingham BS ISA Regular Saver, is it an account you can open and operate online? Also, can you change the amount you pay in each month?

After a few years of decent rates, Clydesdale Bank ISA offering for this year is pathetic, so its goodbye Clyesdale from me.

According to the email I just received from Savings Champion:

"Coventry Building Society is set to withdraw its market leading 60 Day Notice ISA
    (3) paying 2.80% tax free/AER at close of business today."

    I went into a branch to open mine last year, but others were successful in getting one opened by post. Online operation not possible, but you can make payments by standing order and therefore it is possible to vary the amounts. They also let you top up to the full amount at the end of the tax year, if you've only been making smaller payments up to that point.     The Barclays Tax Beater cash ISA does not appear to be available to Northern Ireland residents. The Barclays web-site has the following instruction for new customers;

To apply, complete the online form then print, sign and take it into a branch with the necessary identification.

There are no Barclays branches in Northern Ireland.

As far as i remember there is an office in the docks area in Belfast for Barclays - i had an account as a student and had to leave something into a branch and they told me to go there - was a few years ago so might be worth ringing them :)
Debt at Aug 2010 (LBM) £21,908.86, Debt Freeeeee Date 4th Nov 2013 :j:j:j Massive Thanks to the £10 per day thread :A Next goals:

I've also just checked Barclays branch locator, and by putting in a random Belfast postcode, it's come up with about nine branches I think.

Given that you can now transfer in to the Nationwide Flexclusive ISA which is fixed at 4.25% until October, thats where my money will be going.

Hopefully the FD one at 3% will still be around in October when the bonus expires.

It doesn't exist any more! Boohoo!
I've been keep my eye on the ISA rates for a while & I didn't see this on offer anywhere!

I was thinking more in terms of the accounts that ISA providers launch specifically for storing funds prior to the start date of a new cash ISA.

I have been editing the Cash ISAs: The Best Currently Available List for nearly six years and during that time there have been (taxable) accounts that some ISA providers have launched specifically for this purpose.

For example, some providers launch new cash ISAs to commence from the beginning of the new tax year. However, some of them have provided a taxable account for savers to deposit funds during February, March and up to 5th April, which is automatically transferred into the ISA (from the same provider) on the first day of the new tax year.

Referring to the backups I have taken of the ISAs list over the years, I can see that I had tended to already feature this type of feeder account on the list in the 'Notes' section of the relevant cash ISA.

As I am and have been for some time, looking for decent ISA rate for new tax year the following interest's me somewhat.....
    Regular Savings Cash ISAs:

Nottingham BS Starter ISA (issue 3) - 4.00% NEW with effect from 06/04/2013
    Minimum operating deposit: £10. Min - Max monthly deposit: £0 - £480.
    Operated via: Branch.
Notes: Transfers in not accepted. Withdrawals not permitted. Must be opened in branch only. ISA matures on 05/04/2014.
**Further info will be added following the launch of this ISA.**

However, I can't seem to find this account on their website and I was also wondering if this was fixed or variable as thread doesn't advise........?
