The 'Best ISAs Currently Available' list on the first page of this thread has been updated.

As well as adding the new Halifax fixed rate ISA rates. I have also added the new fixed rate ISAs from Cheshire, Derbyshire and Dunfermline building societies. They pay from 2.05%, 2.35%, 2.55% and 2.70% on one, two, three and four year fixed terms.

    2.51% instant(ish) ISA spotted! http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...51&postcount=1

Thanks andy013! Never thought I'd get excited about 2.51%.....

The 2.51% comprises 0.79% variable base rate plus a 1.71% fixed bonus for 12 months.

Only possible snag I can see is that you don't get the bonus if you transfer within 12 months from opening because it looks the bonus only gets paid at the end of a financial year, and then on anniversary of account opening. This makes it a semi-fixed term ISA.

Transfers-in allowed, full FSCS protection, open with just £1.

Difficult to find on their website!

Thanks for that, though both your links appear to be broken.

That is weird!!!! The pages are definitely there, and when I paste the link into another browser, I get to it ok..........

Here's how you navigate to the Selftrade post:

On the error page you get at Selftrade, or here, click on: Did you mean: /get-started/choosing-an-account/isas/. Then click on the Cash ISA tab

    Or navigate manually:
    • go to selftrade.co.uk
    • click on GET STARTED Accounts & Services
    • click on Choosing an Account
    • click on Cash and Shares ISA
    • click on the Cash ISA tab
    Screenshot of the page: http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/6752/screenshot004an.jpg

And this thread contains the original post: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4442435

I have tested the two links and they work.....mind you, I did that before and they worked when I first posted them

I don't think you get the bonus paid on the anniversary of the account opening. It looks like you only get it paid on the 16th April every year, yet the bonus only lasts 12 months (so the bonus could run out in February but wouldn't be paid until April).

I'm unsure what would happen if you withdrew before April 16th, if you would still get the bonus paid.

innovate: I think if you edit a post it can unintentionally shorten the links making them invalid.

I saw the Selftrade Cash ISA a couple of weeks ago, but I was put off adding it to the list because Moneysupermarket listed it as being available to existing customers only. They are still listing it as such, see here.

When I go to the Selftrade Cash ISA page and click on 'Open an Account, the following message appears:

"Thank you for your interest in Selftrade. We are undertaking a review to enhance some of our processes, so we are unable to progress your application at this time.

Please register your details below, in order that we may contact you in the future."

Has anyone recently successfully applied for the Selftrade Cash ISA?

ALL Selftrade accounts are currently closed to new applicants since late January.

I understand this is in agreement with the FSA and doesn't affect existing clients..

Many thanks for answering my query.

There is further information on the reasons why Selftrade have stopped accepting new customers on the Money Marketing website, see here.

Kazza, any chance you could edit the thread title to remove the "Mini"? It seems to confuse some newbies.

You can edit the title in "Advanced" editing mode.
