As well as you have at least £10,000 to transfer you could get 3.7% with Lloyds ISA. The best part is that you can add to this ISA with next years allowance or even drip feed it in. If you are sure you dont need the money in the ISA for 2 years then it seems a good deal to me !0

I don't understand why this brilliant thread has fallen to the second page. So excuse me but I'm bumping ...

Wow! I'm too late for this. I have been reading this thread all year round for years...(thanks Kazza - you're the best!) but for the past month or so I've been ignoring the 'update to the thread' emails in my inbox as I've been busy. Serves me right!0 -

Well, the ISA season is about to kick off so, with a bit of luck, you/we might get something close - maybe even better..

Wish they did a flying pig 'smiley'! I've always been organised, but seem to be getting more disorganised as I get older...I suppose it's as I get more commitments and get busier.
Not too impressed with the new money ISAs so far, doesn't seem to be any headline rates that only require £1 opening deposit (that's all I can manage with a new money ISA). We'll see what Santander come out with.
10_66 - was reading on another thread you had a bad experience with Santander - can you tell us what happened, or is it too painful? or is this not the thread to do it?0 -

No one specific thing but just an accumulation of irritating practices. Just don't get me started! I'm free, I'm free.Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

I was transferring from them to another ISA provider and they lost the money. Cutting a loonngg and boorriinngg story short, when it became apparent that something was amiss, it was a case of having to ring them on a very regular basis, getting nowhere because you can never speak to anyone that knows anything and promised 'phone calls never materialising. It took getting on for a couple of months' for them to sort it out. They did pay me some compensation for the inconvenience etc, but I do not want to go through that again. I've had some issues with other ISA providers in the past, but nothing as frustrating as trying to get that mess sorted out.0 -
