Is the Barclays website prone to errors? I can't seem to access it.0

Can anyone please advise me on opening a new isa, mini isa or whatever please? Its such a minefield and as the list on the first page was updated a while ago which is the best one going at the moment?
I want to open an ISA I already have an ing account instant access isa with just about nothing in it but the interest on that is only about 1% so its not worth putting anything into that. Ing said I can open another one with the new rate of 3% and leave the other one open aswell but not use it.
I do like to have internet access to the account and will be putting something like £1000 - £1500 in max for first payment.
I dont mind having to leave it in without taking it out for a while because I'm tryting to save towards my endowment shortfall which ends in 2014 but I don't mind instant access either
My daughter wants one too shes trying to save for a deposit on a house hers might have to be instant access thoughThanx

Mini ISAs don't exist anymore. You have 2 types of ISAs. Cash and Stocks and Shares.
I am assuming you don't want risk with your savings so want a Cash ISA.
This is the one I recommend is:
http://www.halifax.co.uk/savings/isa-direct-reward.asp
Does require a minimum initial deposit of £1000 though. Fixed rate of 3% for a year. Upto 4 withdrawals.
You can put a maximum of £3,600 a tax year into Cash ISAs.0 -
I already have a current account with halifax so thats good really it would be easy to set up, why would you recommend that above the others for example ing have one slighly higher. Is it safer in halifax? I don't have any idea about how isas work or the risk factors I'm a complete noviceThanx

Remember that you can transfer your poorly-performing ING ISA to a different ISA provider that accepts ISA transfers by completing the new provider's transfer form.0 -

Is there much difference between the ING isa and the halifaxe one? they are both the same 3% but halifax requires £1000 deposit and ing is just £10 or above. Is there anything else to be wary of with them or that one might be better than the other for?
Also I'm confused that as I already have an old ing isa that was set up on April 3rd 2007 ing have sent me a letter saying I cant put into the isa now only take out or leave it to gain the 1.5% interest its at now. I didnt know they closed them to incoming funds and why now its an odd time. Is it the same with all isa can you only put money into them for a set time before they stop deposits?Thanx

Vote with your feet - open the Halifax one (for example) and transfer the old ING ISA to it (by completing the new provider's transfer form) as well as subscribing this year's allowance.0
